  1. When a surgebinder uses the surge of gravitation, are they adding a force in the direction of the lashing, or are they changing the direction of a pre-existing force?
  2. Note: This is a repost of a theory I had in general Brandon discussion. Imagine that investiture was like the behavior of electricity in a circuit. Think of each shardworld as an electric circuit, each Shard of Adonalsium as a power source, and each invested object as either a resistor or capacitor. When used passively, the invested object acts as a capacitor, storing the charge. When used actively and intentionally, it becomes a resistor, where the amount of investiture a person has is a voltage, the inverse of a person's ability to access their investiture is a resistance, and the amount a person can use their investiture to change and interact with the world around them is a current. Earlier, I said that circuits could be used to model a shardworld. Scadrial could be modeled by a circuit in a series. While the amount investiture each person has varies, their ability to use it to interact with the world around them is generally consistent. Nalthis could be modeled by a circuit in parallel. Each person in born with the same amount of investiture. However, their ability to use it to interact with their surroundings is only limited by their imagination.
  3. If you've ever heard of a card called Lasherithe, something like that.
  4. Was that a SAO reference? If so, it was w good one.

  8. So, I just found out that Heinrich Himmler may have been autistic. Reading accounts of his life, this actually makes sense. As an Aspie myself, I'm unsure how I feel about this.
  9. You could have them play a counter on another creature and sack themselves
  10. Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Had to bs my way through the frq though
  11. Most of you that know me know that on the rare occasion that I come up with a theory, it's normally like David's plans. The idea might be good, but lacks development. That's why I decided to create this thread. The purpose of this thread is to give people a place to pitch their ideas, then pass them off to someone else for further development. To kick thing off, I recently had an idea of the behavior of investiture being like the behavior of a circuit that I'm going to leave in spoilers below.

  13. "Anyways," Kelsier continued. "I'm glad you're here. We need someone with your skills with magic, as well as your knowledge of fighting dragons. You see..." Kelsier said dramatically, "We're going to steal something from them. To be specific, we're going to steal their pride and dignity. We are going to steal their masks and artifacts, and return the ones we don't find useful to the rivals of their owners. The last thing we will take, is an elder scroll that I heard they have."
  14. Now if it were done to a moth priest...
  15. But what if you were to use the key to unlock your mind first?
  16. So, I've been wondering something lately: What effect do you guys think using the skeleton key(an artifact that can unlock hidden potential) with an elder scroll(a sapient artifact that shows different content with each viewing and transcends adera) would have?
  17. Nvm, got it to work. PMing lark for link
