I would like to announce that three days without the internet would drive me mad. They would find me writing tweets on the walls.

I presume that means that other people are doing it as well. I know i've been tagging everything i see, but i dont know if thats ALL of the spam, or just what i get to see. I've been tagging a lot of stuff as well.

I would like to announce that the admins are awesome for getting rid of the crap so quickly.

Presumably it means that Odium/Rayse and whoever wrote the letter, think that Splinters can't be reunited. But then Sazed combined two different Shards, so maybe somebody could repair the Splintered Shards.

actually I think the Aon you'd use for healing would be Aon Ien, as that means healing, IIRC. Of course, my dad has my copy of Elantris at the moment, so I can't check.......

I'm all for the eating of lots of ice cream, especially if it's cookie dough, bubblegum, or chocolate peanut butter. But plain chocolate, or pistachio, or mint chocolate chip will also do nicely.

It seems to me like Syl must have been around when the Radiants were, judging by some of he comments about bits and pieces she does remember, why she (and the other spren that were associated with the powers of the Radiants) apparently hasn't/haven't bonded with anybody in so long is unknown. And we know it's possible for a Shardholder to give up bits of it's power on purpose while it's still alive, witness Endowment and the Returned from Warbreaker.

She calls it the fruit of her most terrible act, which makes me think the Blade was her father's and she took it from him after killing him by surprise. If she had it before, or got it somewhere else after she probably wouldn't have thought it was the fruit of her most terrible act, there aren't a lot of things more terrible then killing your own father. She was drawing a picture of a man in a pool of blood, if that was her dad then we know he wasn't killed with a Shardblade cause Shardblades don't draw blood when they kill.

Maybe it's somebody from one of those groups like Teft's family, I remember Sizgil mentioning that there were other groups like that. Of course that begs the question as to whether any of those groups has the resources to keep an eye on all four protagonists mentioned.....

I don't think he meant Galivar, it seems to me like Brandon doesn't expect most people to pick up on the death being important, Galivar's death is obviously important, since it pretty much set in motion the entire book and the characters spend a lot of time talking about why it happened. It's too obvious. Shallan's brother's death was basically mentioned in a couple of lines, which means it's easy to overlook.

Oooh roller coaster simulating an object caught up in a highstorm, above a Rosharian landscape mockup! With rockbuds and stuff. Or just you know, a "safari" through a Rosharian landscape with the plants retracting as you go by. And laser lights to draw spren. I think the problem is that a lot of the really cool stuff in Brandon's work would be really expensive to recreate. Brandon's stuff would have to be as popular as Harry Potter before it would ever ever happen.

I bought a signed copy of Mistborn 2 for my dad. From my dad I received two Codex Alera books and 2 Dresden Files books. My dad wants to read the latter. I got him addicted to the Dresden Files as well as Sanderson.

yeah, after he said the Second Ideal, the Stormlight started working better for him,i he gets more out of it then he did before that, he even thinks something to that effect after. As for the other, I dunno. I think the reason Syl doesn't like the blades now is that they somehow got contaminated, maybe by all the people that used them selfishly after the Radiants left, maybe BECAUSE the Radiants abandoned their duty, maybe for some other reason. So maybe now people have to figure out how to fix it before they can be used properly again. Or figure out how to make new ones (maybe Talanel can do it?) But that's my theory.
