I think anyone who peered into Koschei's mind would be traumatized. Depending on whether or not the newest High Epic was within earshot, it looks like I'd either be Revolution or Nathan. I don't drink whiskey (especially not when driving to the store) and believe saws are meant for wood, so Chicago Joe and Aldo are out of the question….though I could test as Big Al, depending on the circumstances. Edit: The first three are Nathan, Revolution, and Sam in that order.

The only way to keep that scene from veering into full-on horror territory is to add "And then Nighthound died" right after he smashes Reader's head.
-
Backtrack doesn't have good taste in people. Granted, he did recognize Koschei as a monster, but he was pretty blasé about Lightwards having one of his raptors slash an old man to ribbons. If Reader and Nighthound were in the same room, however….
-
You could always have Pony!Sam telling Pony!Koschei "You know the difference between you and me? I make this look good." (Yay! I love Revolution. )
-
Koschei makes it look cruel, but I think Sam makes it look adorable.
-
He'd get quite a few upvotes for his use of the word "meanieface," though not for the right reasons. Working on the ponies for "First World Problems" taught me that, while Koschei's cape and armbands look good on pretty much everyone, they look especially cute on Sam.

You know, if Vanilla Sabotage were taking video instead of audio recordings, I could totally see them sitting up late at night, making bad lip readings of Lightwards.

I wish they'd just make any seats below first class non-reclinable. Sorry you had to sit behind one of those people. I hope you find a good job you like soon. It's no fun working a job that stresses you out even when you're not there. -
Terrifyingly romantic! Er, yes. It's quite terrifying.
-
Would his clapping kill, knockout, or make them fall and cover their ears? Edited previous post and answered questions. Edit: The interrogation is inside the church, not far from Reader's office.
-
Could his whistles jam guns? I was thinking Koschei would use him for that, once the police and National Guard showed up. Take out the closest guns and fire at the rest?Edit: Autumn is called Glass by the soldiers and would prefer to be called that by the Epics as well. The time skip is in effect once everyone has their characters caught up. A strategy scene would fit in nicely.

No kidding. So with the church, it seems like the more powerful/cruel Epics (Frequency, Event Horizon, Tank, Headshot) would be with Koschei in the church, while the others would be with Reader guarding the hostages, with a few more posted around nearby in case things went south. He wouldn't have had as many during that initial attack as he did later. I think I've figured out how the rest of Remington's flashback will play out.

*facepalm* I knew I forgot someone.
-
Oh, I didn't know Will could do that. Would you mind him being an erstwhile Koschei follower, Seonid? Edit: Hardwire could work too. So many choices! (Someday, I'll learn to think everything out before writing it down. ) I might take Flicker and Polarity too. Thanks, Kobold. Do you still have Fortuity's cutie mark, by chance? It's for a piece tentatively titled "First World Problems."

All right, here's a list of Epics who were allied with Koschei (for my sanity, mostly): Frequency Headshot Tank Reader SoulSwitch Rewind Event Horizon Will O' the Wisp It feels like there should be a few others….any ideas for powers? They'll be flashback only NPCs, but I need one that can kill a pickup's engine from a short distance, and maybe one or two more. Also, Edgedancer, do you still have the Lucentia pony code?
-
He'll be joining in on the MEE attack, correct? He could die then, since Remington will be at Funtimes' cottage for the evening.
-
"His brain is fine, Lightwards." "Doctor? What's with the creepy grin?" *giggle* "What's with the acid shirt?"
-
(I was thinking Sam vs. Lucentia, Nathan vs. Lightwards, and Remington vs. Backtrack, based on what's happened so far.) No. Freaking. Kidding. And, since SS used to work for Koschei, there's a pretty good chance Remington would suspect something. (And when he calls SS's bluff, there will be fallout from Funtimes. Ugly fallout. SoulSwitch….um….well, let me put it this way: Does he have his will written out? )

Well, if that area is Sector B, then the area immediately north (the Springfield farm, since that next group of farmhouses is a bit south of them) must be Sector A, with the numbered sectors moving westward toward the center of town, then outward to the opposite edge. I think. Realize that he has no friends and nobody likes him? (I considered making an Epics vs. Vanillas "Whose Life Sucks More" comic, but it might take some time. ) I don't think so.

Upvoted for support. -
I think what we have here, then, is a plan.
-
BUT WHO COULD IT BE?
-
Where is Outpost Zeta, anyway? Sector B was the farms Koschei hit (those near the northeast, anyway), so is Outpost Zeta at the opposite side of town? EDIT: I started this post with the intent to answer the Hydron question, and answered everything but. I'm game, but I don't know if Voidus wanted to have the twins respond first. He doesn't know much; only that decent Epics are rare, conflicted Epics are uncommon, and good Epics are nearly unheard of. His guiding philosophy in teaming up with Funtimes is, "She's not a good Epic, maybe not a good person, but she knows a monster when she sees one." However, having known one Epic whose sacrifice helped bring down Koschei, he's more inclined than some to give them a slight benefit of the doubt. Seeing Dark!Paladin resurrected as Nice!Paladin would make him more inclined to…not exactly trust him, but want to work together to bring down the real monsters. And, if he had already made the connection between death and Nice!Paladin, Remington would almost certainly make it a mission to kill Dark!Paladin in hopes of bringing Nice!Paladin back. Many, many bonus points. I can see this working very, very well.

Hm. Haven't read those books. The tricky thing about this game, though, is that there are two characters who might fit the criteria. Sightline doesn't like being an Epic (or at least, he didn't, and still seems to be resisting corruption) and Lucentia complains about every. single. thing. under. the. sun, but she likes being an Epic. (At least, as much as she can like anything, I suppose. ) If we wanted to stretch it, you could say Lightwards, who complains about nearly everything and resents being Funtimes' frenemy, but I'd call being his "friend" more of a punishment than a friendship.

Did you have anyone in mind?
