  1. If not, I could always go with the LOL, but make it a little more…in character.
  2. Agreed Go ahead. I'm still trying to figure out how to make Koschei's response longer and more eloquent than "LOL."
  3. Do you really think Nighthound would allow death to keep him from wearing a hula skirt? My reaction exactly.
  4. You know the most horrifying part of that dream? "What Happened in Hawaii" gives Nighthound the perfect excuse to wear a hula skirt.
  5. So how many tears do you think Backtrack will cry? My bet: 4 gallons.
  6. Off topic, but because I promised it earlier…. Doctor Frankinsane.
  7. Yes, but you can't sit down and have a beer with the entire planet after work. Or can you? Guys, I think I have a plan for world peace!
  8. Autumn WILL try to defuse the situation. So they could always work with her. Besides, she hates Reader, so the three of them could bond over their mutual hatred.
  9. It would be awesome, but am I the only one who thinks Vondra would keep lethal injections of some sort on hand for Epics like the twins? O.o
  10. That's what I thought. She'll give them that option, then.
  11. She will. Or at least try to. The law is that Epics who don't want to work for Vondra can leave town or face the firing squad, correct?
  12. I know what you mean. A few pages ago, I wanted Funtimes to giggle and threaten Lightwards for punching Nathan. Instead, we got full-on dark!Funtmes.
  13. So when Autumn learns why Backtrack is almost crying on his way to the doctor, if she offered him a hug, would he accept?
  14. mail-mi, that last Reader post deserves ALL the upvotes. ALL OF THEM I won't spoil it for the rest of you. Read all the way to the last line. Edit: They don't care about non-allied Epics, do they? And I thought the soldiers closest were distracted by the twins' interrogation. So if Reader wants to inflict some mental agony on Backtrack....would they really care all that much?
  15. And here I was, thinking I'd have to opt out of the Astoria thread for lack of a character. He probably eats beef Top Ramen with mustard and thinks that's fine dining too, doesn't he? As soon as I get back to my laptop. There may or may not be a day in the future when she is more inclined to listen to him. But yes, if she had heeded Nathan's power of common sense, she would have no need to keep Lightwards in line with gasoline shirts and tar shoes.
  16. Sadly, the economics advisor was a resurrection Epic with a similar mental decay caveat to Lightwards, although in his case, he saw numbers as increasingly violent living entities with each resurrection. By the time Lucentia had finished venting her anger, his mind was so far gone he could do little more than alternately shoot at and hide from their budget reports. Item 1: Funtimes would call Lightwards a meanieface, but would never apply that moniker to Nathan or Remington. Item 2: Nathan and Remington have decent taste in hats. Item 3: If most daughters brought Nathan or Remington home, their fathers would approve. If most daughters brought Lightwards home, their fathers would shoot, call 911, and shoot again. And that's just the surfacey stuff. I'm not sure either. Guess we'll see when Dr. Frankensane is ponified, won't we?
  17. Hopefully with that crummy soap that dries your hands out and makes them smell bad. The chief difference between him and Traveler being that Nathan didn't want to be treated like an Epic, didn't expect to be mistaken for one, and would have preferred to have been dressed in jeans and a T shirt and mistaken for "that one random guy who follows the crazy clown lady around." Lightwards would probably try to kick Fortuity out of his own table and be genuinely surprised when said precog made the rest of his evening, for lack of a better term, hellish. I'll forget it just as soon as I ponify it.
  18. Would Mrs. Trattner ground Lucentia? Please tell me she'd get grounded! (My money is on Lightwards being so stubborn and lazy that he actually makes Snakehands use his "powers" effectively. ) Fun Frankenstein. Lots of confetti and pink. And, if Sam complained, Funtimes would remember to add fingers. Edit: Go ahead and post it, mail-mi. It should be fine.
  19. "In case you've forgotten, there is a WAR about to start. I'd like to see how you fare with THAT.""Hey, Remington. Mind calling some of your redneck friends?" "Sure thing. That CorpseMaker problem should be over by Friday." "By the way, Lightwards, didn't you agree to pick up a shift for Josie tomorrow?" *Lightwards whimpers* I'm thinking a built in danish launcher and a "party time" setting.
  20. Lightwards and Lucentia crow about how strong and powerful and capable they are, but they wouldn't last five minutes in Sam or Nathan's shoes. (Though I would like to see Lightwards complain, then protest, then cry if he had to work a shift at Nathan's casino when he was unable to use his powers. He wouldn't learn a thing, but it would be satisfying.) Give her some time and a chance to experiment, and Funtimes could make her a new arm.
  21. Pony creator! Y U NO have cyborg-arm accessory?
  22. Yes, but the things they choose to complain about are very first-worldy. If Sam lost her arm, she couldn't replace it; Backtrack didn't lose his entire family to a single Epic; and if some creepy precog came up to Lightwards and said "Yeah, I'm gonna kill you tonight," Lightwards could at least say "I don't THINK so."
  23. And here it is: "First World Problems." Edit: Storm this stupid image requirement thing, I'm posting a link. YOU WILL NOT DEFEAT ME, PHOTOBUCKET!
  24. "Oh no, why did I look into her head, her name is Voidgaze, which must mean she's just like—hey, wait a second. Most of her thoughts are about….waffles. And some guy named Big Al. Heh. This….this is nice. I like you, Voidgaze."
  25. It's probably a good thing he didn't try Funtimes' mind, then. Although he'd probably be just as disturbed if, having seen Koschei's mind, he looked into Frequency's and saw him thinking about what an amazing god Koschei was and how he just knew he'd return one day, because you can't kill a god…. (It does show that he's not as far gone as Lightwards or Nighthound or any other creepy Epic in this game.) Funtimes: Wave at her, skip over, draw a delighted gasp when you see her bagels, and ask if she wants to take them out of the package and wear them like rings.
