Because she's so sweet and shy she never insists on an invitation, so people being threatened death if they don't invite Lucentia forget to write her an invitation? Yeah, I know what you mean. I thought Funtimes would make an awesome chibi, but this was the best I could do. All the curly hairdos were too long, the clothes only allow for two colors apiece, and there are no suitably random accessories in the accessory category. But I thought the cupcake on her head was a nice touch.

Happy Thanksgiving! Keep Lucentia's mouth stuffed with pie so she won't be able to complain! (And while we're at it, may I ask why you invited Lucentia to your Thanksgiving celebration? I mean, I'm not here to judge or anything, but it seems like Voidgaze would be more fun.)

No. No, you are not. Just imagine the hijinks that would ensue when a hyperactive matter manipulator got to see the Party Cannon in action. Imagine what Pinkie Pie would ask for as a birthday gift when she heard Funtimes turned Lucentia's diamond walls into pralines. Imagine the look on Lightwards' face when the two of them decided to pay Mobius a visit.

Sam is adorable, and Lightwards is the grouchiest chibi ever. I'll mess around with it a bit this week, but for now, I leave you with the result of one of my pondering sessions: "So most High Epics in this game are alicorns. Mobius is an alicorn, and Lightwards is terrified of her. So if he's just as scared of Funtimes, shouldn't she be an alicorn, too? Hm…."

I like to think she found the pebble sometime before the beardapalooza, carried it around all day, and was guided through the Sadrys' door by Revolution, and finally started from her trance just as Nathan began to wonder why she had been staring at her hand all day.

I'm tempted to suggest a certain blonde who would be about 14 at this point, a new Epic whose resurrection at an unspecified later point would cure her of her pandafication and restore her to the form she had when introducing herself to Steelheart years later as Firefight. But that would almost certainly mess with canon, so I'll refrain from suggesting it.

Maybe, but it would mostly cause me to make this face: (Just kidding. I know she's flawed, a fact that is showing as Calamity's corruption begins to take hold ( :( ). All of which is true. Still, she could have lashed out at him, or gone the "I'm going to imagine him as my personal butler named Jeeves" route. Again, true. We haven't seen her dark side at work yet, and it could very well be more destructive than Upgraded!Electro.

I had literally just remembered when I saw this post. *facepalm* I didn't mention Leech because he was, so far as I could tell, fairly minor. Pan and Strongsteel do try, but Pan's lack of dismissive attitude is more motivated by fear of being like Koschei than by genuine love. Worlds better than Nighthound, but still. I can't speak for newer Epics like Scribbler, and Ari is still enough of an enigma that I know I'll probably be wrong on some points, but the facts remain that 1. she is an Epic and hasn't become completely power drunk, 2. she is a child who was chained up and apparently mistreated, and 3. Arvin was kind to her. Those facts seem to point to trauma to me.

True, but the signs seem to point to Ari being more innocent than hellspawn. And unless I'm missing someone, the only major Epics who don't think of vanillas as lesser beings are Purple Phoenix, Funtimes, and perhaps Fade, Sandman, and Saccharine to a degree. Others like Aldo and Backtrack treat vanillas with some measure of decency, but still look down on them. I'd say an Epic open to a familial bond with a vanilla is still noteworthy, and may also hint at some trauma in her recent past.

Which is disturbing, but unless Ari is either a shape shifting adult disguised as a child or faking the whole innocent thing (which I'm not dismissing as valid possibilities) then it shows Ari wants a daddy badly enough that she's willing to see a vanilla in that light. The control part is still morally reprehensible, but the basic desire is not. Especially since she could have imagined him as her dog or her slave, which is what most a Epics would have done.

[Wild Speculation] Regalia's weakness

If she renames Manhattan Babylon Restored, then I'd say her weakness is almost certainly something to do with Christianity, if only tangentially or symbolically. Then again, almost all of my Harry Potter fan theories were wrong, so if my streak continues, Regalia's weakness will be lime jello or someone saying Windows is better than Apple. -
That...actually makes sense, in a weird sort of way. Reality TV producers for shows like Big Brother choose contestants who would almost certainly profile for personality disorders like narcissism, which they judge makes for better viewing. So if Calamity is some sort of producer, choosing people with personality disorders, giving them incredible amounts of power, and then watching the fun...that makes Calamity seem both fond of chaos and malevolent.
