  1. For the same reason Marvel is giving Ant "I'm Most Famous for Spousal Abuse" Man a movie before Black Widow while Fantomah, a Golden Age super heroine who fought using volcanoes and sky-panthers, is doomed to obscurity.
  2. I just thought of something. Lucentia is not a fan of niceness. If she were on this forum, she would probably campaign to decrease the upvote quota while increasing the downvote quota. We blame Quota for not giving us enough upvotes to use...but what if he's working for Lucentia? What if he's her puppet, and we should really be rallying against both of them instead of just blaming Quota for everything?
  3. No, a Lucentia problem would be running out of negative rep to pass out. Which doesn't seem like a problem you encounter.
  4. Nothing wrong with writing a character who thinks things you or others disagree with. You mean before or after she contemplates forsaking all material possessions and going to live with ocelots because life with South American wildcats sounds far less stressful than what she's dealing with?
  5. It should've been the pandas' first action. Leaving it would be like letting your hostage keep their cell phone with 911 pre dialed. And how long was Reader missing, anyway?
  6. But why wouldn't they take it? First rule of kidnapping: Don't give your hostage ANY away to call for help.
  7. Notirredeemablyevil!Paladin? BetterthanNighthound!Paladin? Autumn post up.
  8. "This is Arsenal to Glass. What is the situation at Game's clinic?" Well, Autumn didn't say, There are five Epics here. Backtrack is probably sobbing in the office. The sparkly one has her hands on my hips, and the other three look very amused about the whole thing. Reader especially. May I punch him? Before Reader could get his paws on her radio, Autumn lifted it. "Backtrack is having that wound treated, sir. Reader just arrived with a broken nose and two unfamiliar Epics. Not sure if they've been Read or not, but I only just met them. And there's one more…." Shiny Sparkle rested her chin on Autumn's shoulder, drawing a raised eyebrow—and a smirk—from Reader. "Shiny Sparkle, from Dallesport. Teleporter, with short-range detonation capabilities. Able to transport a limited number of people and objects. She's offered her assistance with the invasion, and has proven herself not only trustworthy, but capable of holding her own against the intruders." Thank God Reader didn't have his radio. Autumn could hear, all too clearly, the laughter and childish remarks he'd send over the air. "Where do you want us, sir? I'm, er, staying with Shiny Sparkle, per invasion regulations regarding Epic allies not employed by the City Guard." And per the fact she hasn't let go of me for a second since we met.
  9. I can get something written for her, yeah.
  10. Kabsal? (Which my phone seems to think is Kansas...)Edit: Nevermind.
  11. (So unless he had some deep dark secret you haven't told us yet, you're saying Michael Jager was the kind of guy any girl would be delighted to bring home to her parents? The kind of guy I'd actually want to date? And Calamity turned him into Night-"I Don't Obey Restraining Orders and I'd Like to See You Stop Me You Cute Thing"-hound? (Can we go assassinate Calamity now? )
  12. (On the Sliding Scale of Cuteness™, she's at the "adorable" end. Small, thin and not curvy, with short curly hair, a sort of roundish face, high cheekbones, and big brown eyes—she's definitely attractive, while not exactly fitting into the current definition of "gorgeous." You know the one—tall, thin but still curvy, narrow features, full lips? She doesn't look like that, but she is good-looking enough to have captured Fortuity's interest.) (What would doing this do? )
  13. She's cute. Not gorgeous, not beautiful, but not plain, either. And she would hold the flirting against him. "Attempted seduction to evade justice," is probably what she'd write in her report, barely restraining herself from adding the words "pathetic," "over-the-top" and "disgusting amount of confidence in his own unimpressive looks" somewhere in there. I like that weakness.
  14. If you're angling to have him redeemed later on, tone those qualities down. If not, go on and play them up. It'll just make his comeuppance all the more satisfying. Or Autumn? How often has he hit on Autumn? (And when he was finally captured by the City Guard, did he hit on Autumn when she interviewed him?) (He still doesn't remind me of a serial killer. I can't say the same for Nighthound.)
  15. Have you ever. I'm almost thinking he needs a lecture from Lightwards on the horrors of romance.
  16. This plan is pleasing to my eyes.
  17. No, she didn't send it because of all the flirting. She'll contact him over radio soon to let him know she's vetted an Epic ally from Dallesport.
  18. Later, in the Springfield Club.... Stranger: So tell me about your first date. Shiny Sparkle: I was drawn to The Dalles by the invasion of flying pigs, seduced by her feminine wiles... Autumn: And then she decided to impress me by taking down a bunch of Epic cultists. Shiny Sparkle: And then I bought her a drink! Stranger: Um....have you ever considered just going out for drinks FIRST? Shiny Sparkle: Sure, if you want to be all BORING about it.
  19. Either way, it's going to be shipped.
  20. Since National Puppy Day is almost over, and I believe every day should be Puppy Day, please enjoy this punch bowl of pug puppies.
  21. Exactly. If he thought God was offering him a way out (through testing what David said) I think he would have at least tried it. If David is right, Obliteration will accept him as someone God used for good. If he's wrong…well, you saw what happened in San Diego.
  22. I think I'll shelve the Timeport Plan alongside other Plans like the Nuclear Option and the Obliteration Contingency. Thanks. I'm going to write to the director as soon as I figure out exactly how I'm going to word it and see if it's as big a deal as I'm making it out to be. And if it is, I'll see about patching things up.
  23. Thanks. I'm home now, and she's made it apparent she thinks it's all my fault. And she told my dad, so he got the version filtered through her eyes, not like he doesn't always take her side anyway. Why can't I just screw up on my own terms?
