Um....whatever you say the difference is? When I started the WHOOC thread, the FoO thread was practically dead, so I admittedly wasn't thinking about it. I guess since the FoO thread is mostly pony comics, crack shipping, and characters who won't/haven't appeared in-game; while the WHOOC thread is primarily what-if scenarios with existing characters, I guess it makes the most sense to continue on that way.

One cup probably wouldn't hurt anything, but the dehydration effect is the main reason I drink tea now. Like a hipster.
-
the effects should wear off after a few hours, but I'd still recommend that chamomile tea. Itll both take care of those jitters and hydrate you. Win-win!
-
Drink...drink some water before you try that. Coffee dehydrates you, and I can't imagine running around a big empty field would help matters.
-
Totally normal, unfortunately. If you can find some chamomile tea, drink a cup or two. It'll help relax you and get rid of the jitters. If not, try drinking a few glasses of water to flush the coffee out of your system.

I should probably dig up the Fantomah comics I made and post them there.

Awesome. Excited to see this! Not anymore. She mentioned this alongside Oregon not having things like homes, or streets, or even trees, so I think it's safe to assume she was simply reminding David that all of Oregon was a wasteland after the turf wars.

The "hook" in Portland was mostly "We need a place for all of our characters to meet" "Where?" "Portland sounds good" "Yeah, Portland!"

That's…almost exactly what CorpseMaker does, over in the Portland thread. If not exactly the same.

Exactly. And there are some good ideas on that list, but maybe they'd be better placed in the ideas doc?

It might be better to make it What Happened in Eugene instead, because 17 Epics for one semi-incorporated town seems a little steep. So far as Harvester goes, his powers make him pretty dang strong—I'd say he's at least on Steelheart's level, what with the ability to fly faster than most speed limits and weaponize wind, as well as kill large numbers of people with a glance. Add in the impervious skin, and it seems more likely that he'd be the ruler of the entire state, not one good-sized city somewhere.

So by this logic, where everyone's Mirrorverse doubles may or may not be the same age, but have powers where their primeverse doubles don't and vice versa, Prof would be.... DAVID! PROF IS DAVID WITH POWERS! Everything makes sense now!

Lack of sleep or not, you failed to answer the most important question of all: What book is important enough that Steelheart can only read it in Oregon by the light of a floating museum?

From the ground? No. You'd see it, but you wouldn't be able to read a book. Floating right underneath it, yeah.

I hadn't pinned down anything exact, but it wouldn't be a ton. It'd be noticeable at night, but not blinding unless you got up close and stares right into it.

Like casting pears before vines? Cause vines don't have brains and probably don't care? It needed one yesterday.

Like casting pears before...brine? Cause pickled pears are gross? Like casting pears before...limes? Cause limes don't have hands and can't DO anything with the pears? Like casting pears before...mimes? Cause the mimes would just clap their hands to their cheeks and escape into their invisible bunker?

Is that a typo? Because I thought pigs liked pears…although the simile does fit because pears are delicious and can be rather expensive where I live, so it would be like giving them something amazing that they wouldn't appreciate….and now I want pear sauce. Dang. But you're right. The quote just isn't the same without knowing the story behind it.

I'm having a dilemma. Do I post this in the "Sharders' Quotes Out of Context" thread to show off how insane the Question threads can really be? Or do I leave it here so as not to blind other Sharders with the glorious yet terrible light of our insanity?

Maybe out of curiosity, though I don't know how important it is to the Reckonersverse at large. We've already seen enough variations in dress from female Epics (the caped ninja look for Sourcefield, punk clothes for Newton, the sophisticated grandmother look for Regalia, everyday practical garb for Megan, and not a lot on Faultline except the fact she wore her hair in a bun) that it seems safe to assume Calamity isn't pressuring them to wear the skimpiest outfits they can find. …which is ironic, considering his corruption leads them to do all sorts of other horrible things. She doesn't sleep in it. (All of that fabric that makes her skirt poofy would get pretty scratchy if she wore it to bed. ) She's fond of colorful pajamas with polka dots and whimsical animals on them—kittens, puppies, cuddly-looking panda bears, cartoonish turtles.
