I don't get the emphasis, either, but I think it's bad being a fish out of water either way. I've found quite a few kindred spirits online, because we introverts find face-to-face interaction draining and would rather interact online, where we can think about what we want to say before we say it (sometimes for hours), ensure our wording is clear, and most of all be heard. A repeated difficulty I've run into, being a strong introvert in a family of strong extroverts, is that when one person talks over me, everyone else follows suit. Pretty soon they're having a lively conversation while I just sit there, unnoticed until it's starting to wind down and someone asks me why I've been so quiet. I don't know; maybe it's because no one seemed interested in what I had to say? Like this comic points out, introverts find most interaction exhausting and don't want to waste their energy on people who don't want them around.

It's a sacred duty now? Perhaps I'd best heed it.

Possible David Power? Spoilers!
TwiLyghtSansSparkles replied to TheSpartanDuck's topic in The Reckoners
More than that, if David were able to "calm down other Epics and potentially keep them from using their powers," why didn't he do this unconsciously in one of his many fights with Epics? It definitely would've come in handy against Fortuity, or Newton, or Obliteration especially. -
And if he attacked a northern settlement like Nome in winter, chances are excellent he'd be doing it when there is no sunlight, so he and his herd would be destroyed by a massive tornado as lightning lights the tundra in brief but blinding flashes. I'm not saying any of that because it's relevant; I'm just saying it would look really cool.

I can't believe the internet has existed this long without that sentence. But yes, she could easily grab the caribou with a few tornadoes and dump them into the Bering Sea.

Khione, a backstory Epic of mine who rules Alaska, wouldn't let a herd like that survive for long. She might not go after it herself, but she wouldn't let it get far.

Provided they were in the early stages of his control, hunters from Alaska or the Yukon would go after them as food. In the latter stages, they'd do the same, but with the goal of eliminating a threat. And then there are apex predators who would at least try to thin the herd as a food source.

Having a Bad Day? Stop here for a Good Rant!

I didn't start the thread; I just spammed it with pugs. -
Kicked out of the Autumn Glass Fanclub, Vapor Snake vows revenge. Months later, he has it….when he's imprisoned for briefly losing his mind, let out on good behavior, and is made Autumn's bodyguard because he's decent underneath the corruption and she doesn't want to give Deathwish too many chances to ogle her. It's a convoluted and needlessly complicated plan that can't not work. Disturbing implications of that aside, he's enough of a slontze that it does make sense for him not to gift his healing factor unless he absolutely has to. Deathwish might, but no one cares what he thinks.

If anyone finds themselves aghast at the poor grammar on places like YouTube and other sites that aren't 17th Shard (seriously, why does everyone here have such good spelling and grammar? I'm not complaining, but it's still a little spooky when you think about it) Hyperbole and a Half has a few coping mechanisms for you to try. Alot of coping mechanisms.

Extradimensional? Using "extra" as in "outside or beyond," considering he's operating from a different dimensional plane than those who are in purely physical form?

I've read a few articles about the importance Western cultures place on extroversion, and most of them seem to conclude it's not healthy. There's nothing wrong with either introversion or extroversion, but labeling one healthy and one unhealthy (as often happened with me, and as usually happens with introverts who go into professions like public speaking or the clergy) isn't good or fair to anyone.
-
I'm definitely an introvert, and a pretty strong one at that. To make matters worse, literally everyone else in my immediate family is an extrovert. I heard "Be more social" quite a lot growing up. Oh, yeah. Be more social. Okay. I'll do that while you go be a duck.

At least you'll have things to keep you occupied. How long will you be gone?
-
I'm sorry. Where are you going? Cabin by the lake, different city...?

Here's the explanation. Basically, the letters stand for Introverted, INtuitive, Thinking, and Judging. It all comes down to how you see and interact with the world.

Would a pug puppy help, or a couple of pug puppies? Edit: Here's a video of pug puppies playing. And here's Tommy the daddy pug and his little girl, Snickers. I'm really sorry for what happened, Glamdring. That's awful. -
Here's a link, though if someone has a better one, feel free to offer it. I took my test in a class I took for college, so I'm not the best source of online resources for this one. Huh. I did not know that, but I'm definitely okay sharing a personality type with all those smart people.
-
I'm INTP. According to the test I took, my type is only seen in about 5 percent of men and 1 percent of women. So when I say that there aren't many people in the world who really, truly, deeply understaaaannnnnd me, I'm not necessarily exaggerating.

He got caught for the armory misdeed….though in fairness, he was framed for that one. Still. With his history, that's like Al Capone getting sent to Alcatraz for tax evasion—not what anyone would've picked, but it's something.

I figured the same. It just seems natural that Epics, who generally have poor impulse control in the best of times, would lose control over their powers when they're most upset.
