MR51: Come On Down To Irontown (aka Assassin's Creed: Elendel but Avalon.) Scadrial is transforming. Railways are being built to connect the civilised octants of Elendel with the far-flung cities and towns in the Roughs. In Elendel itself, factories are springing up all over, employing unprecedented numbers of workers. Harmony willing, Elendel will see a new era of prosperity and technological advancement. But all of this comes at a cost. Hundreds of workers find themselves increasingly crammed into small dormitories meant to take less than half their numbers. Soot and smoke from the factories linger most heavily in the industrial district, Irontown, like the legends of ash in the old days before the Final Ascension. Hours are long and the work is hard and the employers brutal. The nobles and factory owners glut themselves on boxings, and you count every last clip in the hopes of making it somewhere. Maybe it was the time Starrick’s thugs broke the legs of the last workers to demand better pay. Or maybe it was the time molten iron splashed on Tomas’s face. You still see him begging on the street on the way to your shift. They threw him out like slag. In recent days, a small group of factory workers meeting at the local establishment, The Bent Boxing, finally decide to take matters into their own hands. Come on down to Irontown, Comrade, where desperate dreams choke beneath an iron-grey sky and ash and soot are thick like the tar. Where the blood flows in the gutters and lines the pockets of the wealthy. Where the bones of the poor are buried beneath the towers that thrust into the sky, belching smog into the air and leeching poison into the waters. Come on down to Irontown, and light the flames of revolution. Oppression has to end. General Rules: Win Conditions: Roles: General Housekeeping: Quick Links: Sign-ups are open now and will close on Friday, 25th June 2021, at 2300hrs SGT (GMT +8). Rollovers will take place at the same time.

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Kasimir replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Just happened to see this in your sig, but if you ever want to run a character with Reva, that might not be a bad idea. One of the roles/characters is Revali and a derivative or something closer to it that also happens to be a name you like isn't a bad way to do it. -

I approve since this means no Postman and blessedly quiet RPful game -

I can't remember how this started - I think it was because she did a long post in LG73 in which she continuously spelled her name in increasingly exotic ways. One of them was Eiwlil. LG74 my dude LG73 is the one in which I got you killed. -

I mean, PMs are default closed for this game, and Eiwlil and TJ aren't playing rn, and I plan to brutally murder any Postman who puts me in a PM with Eiwlil or TJ, so we should be good I'll be about as useful as I was to you in the first two cycles of LG73! -

Yiga in Hyrule Castle. Yiga! Kazs strummed idly at his ukulele. The strings were in want of tuning. They were always in want of tuning. He scowled. What did such bloodthirsty maniacs want now, with the threat of Calamity looming before them? Blood still dripped from the Master Sword. Kazs found himself wondering if it was the sort of stuff songs were made of. There was a snatch of tune in his head, there often was, and he tried to fit a song to it. Boy in blue Stabs a few Yiga. No one cares But now we're stuck And about to be f— His scowl deepened. No, that didn't work, it didn't rhyme, and it wasn't really the sort of thing you'd write poetry about, and of course that Goron with the banjo would give him a hard time for it if he'd actually heard. Bad enough that the Goron very nearly had Kazs's own name, but did he have to add insult to injury with his songs? No, Kazs knew his place and he prided himself on his wit, on silly rhymes that cut you open to the bone. But at the moment, his wit was wanting. His mind went back to the sword and the fallen Yiga. Blood staining steel, now there was a good line. Too poetic though, and it cut too little. Or, if you thought carefully about the image, it cut too much. Blood on sacred steel. Maybe that was better. Keep hidden and disguise themselves. Kazs shook his head. Wasn't as if anyone was going to recognise someone like him. Why, the other day, a guardswoman had mistaken Kazs for the latest in an endless string of cook's assistants to be hired. What was with the kitchens—at the rate they were running through assistants, you'd think the cook was Yiga! Well, wasn't that a cheery thought. He resigned himself to a lot of writing, and a lot of skulking around and hiding in the near future. Wouldn't it be a surprise if they knew his face. He flipped the hood of his worn traveling cloak over his face, mimicking what some of the others present had begun to do. Couldn't be recognised if you couldn't see other people underneath your hood, that was a good idea, the best Kazs had ever heard. He started to work on a better, sillier rhyme. His mind went back to the Master Sword, bloodstained, in the hands of the Champion. Yiga in Hyrule Castle. What a day. And it was only the beginning. [OOC: Well, stepping out of temporary retirement to sign up as Kazs, no relation to the Rito minstrel, beleaguered bard who probably is in the wrong line of work, and connoisseur of bad rhymes. The absolute worst. Things have cleared up a bit for me but this will be a chill RPful game so I will endeavour to be about as useful as clogs on a cat, and probably not all that active. Fair warning that if I have bandwidth, anyone who votes on me is likely to end up the target of a bad rhyme or limerick at some point. Don't let this dissuade you ] -
Looks like my pleasant retirement has come to a temporary end, then. To be fair, Striker is running that LoZ game so I'd probably have been hard-pressed to stay out of it...

ITT: Me: "Okay, Ash, if you want it, I'll cede to you, otherwise I'll run my MR as soon as I can finish wrangling the committee." Everyone: "Okay who's after Ash" Edit: @Ashbringer - actually, I have a question. You have any issues with me claiming the slot? My work schedule has temporarily cleared up and I don't know if I'll have that stretch of time in future. If you normally don't have a clean slot and want to take the shot though then DWAI!
-
Let me test it again I used it a couple days ago and with a dryer ink. I'll get a photo of the results and report back. Wow, that's rare for a Plat. Normally the tines are too tight, which is the problem with mine :/
-
Oh, I understand that! The Rokka is definitely nice, though not quite my thing in the end I might get my C nib stubbed after all, it's a bit wonky so one way or another, I'd need to get it seen to by a nibmeister, but it's otherwise a good pen for a good price Waterman M I must warn doesn't seem to be stubby, judging from my Carene, but could be wrong It does have a definite sweet spot though.
-
If you're finally available, you may want to go first. If it's a bad timing for you, I should be able to run mine when I finish wrangling with the committee.
-
What are you playing right now?
Kasimir replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Star Wars: Fallen Order Odyssey is my long-term game, I don't think I have the specs for Valhalla, though that might change eventually. Fallen Order has been fun, though I refer to it as 'Falling Order' given the number of times I've just fallen through a gap, careened off a slide into empty space... Getting a controller helped though, so we shall see. -
Oh man, that's one beautiful Shiun! I was so tempted by Kumpoo but in the end, didn't go for it, though I do regret that. Glad your experience with the B nib Plat has been good, some people comment on Plat feedback (though not as much as Sailor)
-
Oh yeah, Graphite Lighthouse and Pillow Book are sweet. I loved Anderson Pen's Slate Grey but never got it. But the nice thing is if that sort of colour comes around again... It's a double-edged Shardblade with Sailor really. On one hand, they have so many SEs you're eventually bound to find something you like, or the colour/design will crop up again. On the other hand, they aren't cheap and there are many nice ones Edit: Heads up that TR paper has ceased production. Another pandemic casualty I guess...
-
Agreed! I'm actually on board with how many special editions they've been making - bound to find something I'll like eventually
-
Enjoy! The reports I've seen were for Imperial Black but apparently you have to watch the inks you put in it, that's all.

Whoops Looks very sleek but I have my doubts because I've heard about how prone the plating is to coming off >>

I'm tired. Feels like the road will never end even though I don't have the energy to keep at it. I just want to fix whatever's wrong with me.
