Welcome to the game!
-
And this is why I love the 17th Shard! Also, @Elenion you might want to spoiler the sentence in your quote as well. Another also: all this ethics talk makes me miss Kasimir.
-
And welcome back!
-
Oh, of course. You almost have to if you end up evil. There are very few people in this world that can win a game as the eliminator faction without telling a lie at all. Welcome back! Glad to have you.
-
No...of course not. *hasty edit* See, it was there all along.
-
That's good. Hope that happens before Tuesday...
-
Ending by the 28th? That should be somewhere around C8 or 9. With the amount of kills happening (1 lynch, 1 Ghostblood kill, plus kills from Shardblades and Voidbringers), we could easily have lost 20 players by then. I'd say that there's a pretty good chance of the game ending by the 28th. If not, it will likely be close unless we get 15 more people signing up in the next few days. On a related note, I'd like at least 20 players in order to run this game. Less than that and I might drop a faction.
-
Correct. In such a situation, the vanilla Alethi win
-
That is a game end condition, and the Alethi and Parshendi win together in such a circumstance. ninja'ed by Yitzi
-
Yes
-
No, they just can't ignore their win condition and win anyways. If you're a son of honor, you only win if the Parshendi all die. If there's at least one regular Alethi alive at the end of it, the Alethi faction wins too.

Everyone ought to err on the side of @Kobold King. Zombie dinosaurs are just par for the course. I'm torn between SE and Creator's Corner, myself. SE got my vote, just because I've been running games recently.

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!
Seonid replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
So...I have a job interview for tomorrow! Background: I've been out of work for two months, since I graduated and moved out of the city we were living in. I quit my full-time, exceptional benefits job, and moved down to a new city to be closer to family. My wife found a part-time job, but it's very stressful on her, so we're both really hoping that this job works out. It was a good thing, ultimately, because I got out from under a bad boss - in fact, that's the only reason I considered moving to a new city when my wife suggested it. And this new job is actually related to my field of study, and pretty much is the textbook definition of a perfect job for me. So I'm excited about the interview and extremely nervous at the same time. On net, this is a good news type of post, though. -
Unless enough people sign up for me to add additional hidden factions, you are correct. 24 players is the minimum for that.
-
That is correct. A faction must have a member living at the end of the game in order to win.
-
The game does end with a Sons win in that case. However, if all of a faction's members are killed, that win condition is removed from the game. That wasn't explicit in the rules, but it's true. If all the sons of honor die, then the sons of honor can't win, even if all the parshendi are later killed. Similarly with the voidbringers. The Ghostbloods face the same sort of dilemma the serial killer does in a regular game: trying to make sure one side or another doesn't get the upper hand.
-
Yes. The Parshendi are the only public faction with a doc. But the principle here is sound.
-
Yes Yes No Warform retains the ability to target another player and take any attacks directed at them even after the extra life is gone. What you might be able to do with that will be up to players to figure out. That is correct, although Voidbringers have faction unique forms with kill abilities.
-
Welcome! We're glad to have you! Hope you enjoy this game.
-
I've gone through and fixed the spoiler issues as well as updating the player list. If there are still any problems, let me know. Just a clarification, the Parshendi faction doc contains all players who are publicly listed as Parshendi, including any infiltrating members of hidden factions. Similarly, the Sons of Honor must kill all Parshendi, including any and all Ghostbloods and Voidbringers hiding among them. Again similarly, the Voidbringers must kill all Alethi players, including all of the Son of Honor and any Ghostbloods among them.

This game was originally listed as mistborn because LG34: Allomancer was originally slated to be an MR, and this one was originally supposed to be an LG. Due to complications, they got switched around.
-
Sure!
-
Game ends when a hidden faction achieves their win condition, or when all hidden factions have been eliminated
-
Umm... not sure what's going on with the spoiler tags here. Won't be able to fix it for a few hours. So just so you know, all of the factions are in there
