  1. So are you working to guarantee that if we work with you to push this through, that you and your compatriots stay out of the village - Elim fight? You say it will allow you to remain neutral without saying you will. I want you tied down to a statement. I know that you, Elb, and Wilson are trustworthy. If you give your word you keep it. I'm not demanding you join the village. Far from it. Just don't side with the Elims against us.
  2. Public Service Announcement! I will be busy tonight around rollover time, and so the cycle will end at the regularly scheduled time. However, the new cycle will not start until several hours later. My apologies for any inconveniences.
  3. And that was exactly what I was looking for. In exchange for the lynch on Joe today, I want an agreement from the Neutrals that they will remain neutral and not create a neutral-elim voting bloc.
  4. I'm all for giving all the neutrals their win conditions. But, I expect 4 more Eliminators (6 total is too many, for a game in which there are 6 neutrals, but 4 total is probably too few for a game in which the neutrals could all align against them). Which actually means that the Elim + neutral block could potentially control the lynch right now. If they are all active. You want Joe lynched @little wilson? Good. So do I. There are 12 non-neutrals left. 1/3 of them are against us. I'm not going to sacrifice my win con just so that you can get yours. And you shouldn't expect me to. The village doesn't owe you anything. You've said you helped us. From my perspective, I can't see anything. I'm not asking for a name or anything - it's not in your best interests and I fully get that. I'm not even asking for your help. What I am asking for is for the village to step up, and discuss things, and not lynch Joe today because we need better targets and a lynch on Joe. No we shouldn't. It's not worth it for the village. If we had gotten 2 Elims by now? Sure. But we are down to the wire. It's not lynch or lose now. And if we waste yet another cycle trying to lynch Joe, I can't see that the village can get back out of that hole! To the village, whoever you are: if you join in a lynch on Joe today, I will consider that a sign of being an Eliminator. At the moment, I can support the lynch on Ecthelion To the neutrals: tell me why this lynch is in the interests of the village. Tell my why this lynch won't be sacrificing my win con and the win con of 16 or 17 other players in this game just so that Wilson can get hers? If you present a convincing enough argument, I'm willing to listen and even lynch Joe, if you can show me how the village can win after lynching Joe today. But at the moment, I see a bright line of conflict between giving Wilson her wincon and getting my team to theirs. Help me resolve that conflict, and I'll be right with you.
  5. Only the players attacked will be revealed. If a warform redirects the attack, it will be noted as an attack on the original. Injured guardsmen are not revealed.
  6. Day 2: Betrayal in the Camp The atmosphere in the peace accords camp was tense even before the incident. That was to be expected, Eshonai reflected, given the two parties' mistrust of each other. After the bridges that had crossed the plateau were destroyed in the night, the mood turned downright murderous. The Alethi blamed her people - that was also to be expected. Her people blamed the Alethi, citing it as a devious ruse to justify murdering the delegation. For a few hours, it almost seemed as if the peace accords would break out into mass violence, and she began ordering her people to prepare to protect themselves. But Dalinar - a remarkable man; she was glad she had picked him to negotiate with, as his honor had almost certainly saved the lives of her people - managed to control his followers, and she prevented any violent reprisals on her side. Only Plato Anderson among her people had been injured in the troubles, though he swore that some Alethi had tried to murder him after everything had cooled down. In one respect, she mused, she was grateful that the bridges had been destroyed. She now knew that somebody in the camp was trying to sabotage the accords. And she would find who it was, and stop them. -------------------------------------- Day 2 has begun! It will end in 48 hours. Remember that there is no Night Cycle - all actions are performed during the Day Turn, along with votes and the lynch. Plato Anderson (Elenion) was lynched, but survived! 7. I have not yet posted OoA yet. Sorry, I've been busy. 3 writeups in 1 day for a game I'm running on another forum! That game should be over sometime today or tomorrow though, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Order of Actions: Decayform Roleblock, Decayform Kill, Artifabrian/Scholarform scans, Ambassador vote manips, Highprince protection, Guardsman protection, Warform Protection, all other kills (lynch, Stormform, Shardblade, Ghostblood). PM actions (Alethi, nimbleform) happen instantaneously during the cycle, and can't be roleblocked. Note that the Decayform kill happens before other actions, and therefore blocks those actions. It does not block votes on the player killed, however.
  8. Just a note to anyone watching this but not playing: spec doc links are available if you want to discuss the game.
  9. @Sart If you lose your extra life from Warform and switch after, nothing happens. @Roadwalker If all of the Parshendi die, then the Sons of Honor win. If there are any unaligned Alethi alive, they also win. If all of the Sons of Honor are dead and then all the Parshendi are killed, and then the game ends because the Alethi killed all remaining secret faction members, then the unaligned Alethi win on their own, with all other factions losing. @cloudjumper Warform's protection can redirect any kill except the Decayform kill, which cannot be blocked except by something that gives extra lives (such as Shardplate or the extra life from Warform or Stormform). To be more clear - if a Parshendi in Warform is attacked by a Decayform kill, they survive if this is the first attack for them to survive. If a Parshendi is being protected by another Parshendi in Warfrom, and is attacked by a Decayform kill, the kill goes straight through to the original target and is not redirected.
  10. Rules clarification, because apparently I really needed to do a better job communicating intent: The only way the unaligned Alethi can win is if an unaligned Alethi is alive at game end. The only way the unaligned Parshendi can win is if an unaligned Parshendi is alive at game end. Parshendi that are part of a secret faction count as Parshendi that must be killed for the sons of honor to win, but do not count for the unaligned Parshendi win condition. Alethi that are part of a secret faction count as Alethi that must be killed for the Voidbringers to win, but do not for the unaligned Alethi win condition
  11. Rules clarification: if a Voidbringer kills a player using decayform, it cannot be protected against using active protection. Passive protection such as shardplate still blocks the kill.
  12. Just a note: the sons of honor must kill all the vanilla Parshendi, the Voidbringers, and any ghostblood Parshendi to win. The Voidbringers must kill all the vanilla Alethi, the sons of honor, and any Alethi ghostbloods in order to win. The ghostbloods must kill all non-ghostblood players in order to win, although I would likely call the game if a ghostblood win became inevitable (such as if all other secret factions were eliminated and the ghostbloods controlled the lynch).
  13. Well, I didn't get the job I interviewed for. The rejection e-mail said that they were impressed by my writing sample, personality, and job-related knowledge, and invited me to apply to future openings. So that's a good thing. But I was really kind of hoping for this position to work out.
  14. All PMs should have been sent out by now! If you are in this game but haven't received a role PM, PM me!
  15. Day 1: Fateful Greetings Dalinar Kholin watched the delegation move across the Shattered Plains. The bridges joining the plateaus moved slowly, armored chulls dragging their immense frames with methodical slowness. The bridges were sturdy, capable of supporting a cavalry charge, and his folk walked confidently across it. This peace treaty could be a gift from the Almighty. With the war ended, he could get the fractured political leaders of his people back home, governing as they were meant to. Alethkar could cease pouring years of resources into an endless war, and use her newfound unity to become strong and prosperous. But first, peace had to come. Not everyone would be happy with it. Many of the Highprinces loved the play-act of war that this had become. No real risk to themselves, and a great deal of financial gain from the gemhearts of the plateaus. Some might even violently object. He looked back at his company, walking over the chasms. He hoped no traitors walked among them. -------------------------------------- Eshonai sat in nimbleform, on a rocky mount overlooking the meeting plateau. The Alethi had come armed, of course. That was to be expected. She hummed the Rhythm of Satisfaction, though. After years of war, she had offered a peace token and he had actually come! There might be a way to save her people after all. But she had heard worrying rumors from the scholars - rumors of new and dangerous forms, connected with their gods. Some among them might be desperate enough to assume those forms. She would have to keep a close watch on her own. -------------------------------------- Day 1 has begun! It will end in 48 hours. Remember that there is no Night Cycle - all actions are performed during the Day Turn, along with votes and the lynch. 16. I've seen this problem.
  17. @Haelbarde, could we get a player list sorted by who's dead and who's not? By which I mean that you put all of the dead players in their own list, so that it is easy to tell at a glance which of the players are still alive.
  18. Yeah - I've been mostly checked out of this game - job interview, getting my own game ready, and so on. Sorry - ya'll deserved more attention from me. I'll try to do some analysis. Also - just noting a fact. If I were evil, I wouldn't have killed Aman. He trusted me, he did good analysis, and since he trusted me I would have used that as leverage to try and direct his suspicions. No idea if I could have done it successfully, but I would have wanted to try it. There's a great deal of stuff to sift through, and not a lot of substance from the past few days. I'll try and get my analysis hat out in the next day or two. Or overnight. For now, I'm inclined to lynch either asterion or Araris. Both are pure gut, though. I'll likely change my vote after I get a chance to get analysis done. Somebody's got to do the hard work of digging up old posts, and I might as well do it.
