Day 7: Princess of Death Hema sat in her tent that was lit only by a few spheres on her small table. She didn’t want to draw attention to the fact that she had been awake all night. She sat anxiously by her spanreed trying to keep in constant communication with all of her contacts. She had a feeling growing in the pit of her stomach that today was going to be a disaster. She couldn’t reach a few of the people she needed to make her plans come together. There had been a tension rising between her and the others among the party of “peace treaty members”. She had tried to fit in, but she had always been a blunt person, and she could tell that the others sensed her apathy towards the peace treaty. In truth, she had been sent here to stop the treaty, but she was supposed to be laying low. She sighed, running her hands through her hair, while sitting back and waiting for her contacts to respond. The spanreed jumped to life, startling her. She tensed, and started following the lines it penned. She paled, realizing this day might’ve just gotten much worse. She tried to reach her other contacts, but no one was answering. She panicked, and rushed from the tent, looking to find one of her comrades. She didn’t make it 10 feet before being jumped from behind. Someone had been waiting for her. Ten heartbeats….just ten heartbeats. She couldn’t do it. It was against her orders from the Sons of Honor to use her blade during the peace committee. She wouldn’t disobey her orders. She struggled to get free, and cursed herself for not donning her armor in her rush to leave the tent. With it, she could’ve gotten free with ease. She was hit from behind and all went black. Hema awoke to a riotous commotion, and cracked her eyes. Her head pounded, and she could see a large group gathered around her. It was still early morning, and she couldn’t quite make out all of the figures standing around her. She was lying on the ground with her hands bound behind her. Apparently, they were discussing whether to turn her over to Dalinar, or just kill her and throw her in a ravine. Her blood ran cold as she realized this was the end for her. She had gone into this mission knowing the cost. She struggled to her knees and spoke, causing the argument to stop and every eye to turn on her. “I confess to being a Son of Honor, or a Daughter of Honor actually.” She laughed ruefully. “My husband was a loyal soldier in Dalinar’s army, and died because of the Parshendi. Sadeas is at fault as well, but the Sons won’t let me do anything about him for now.” I want revenge for my husband. I won’t agree to any peace treaty with a people responsible for so much pain. It’s my life or theirs. You may as well kill me now. Please do, for I couldn’t bare to cause Dalinar anymore pain by finding out what I’ve done.” She bowed her head, waiting for their response. It came in the form of a quick death, granting her final petition. -------------------------------------- Day 7 has begun! Nobody has specifically asked me about deleted conversations. My official opinion, for this and for other games, is that conversations in a doc should not be deleted - with sufficient leeway for spelling/grammar errors and other corrections, and for removing comments that seem too inflammatory or that you otherwise regret. THIS IS NOT A LAWYER RULE, HOWEVER! That is, don't expect this opinion to constitute rules text - if it did, it would be far longer and more specific. I haven't been policing the docs heavily, though.

Day 5: A Killer Revealed Dalinar walked his camp, Shardblade in hand. It was good for his men to see him walking around, and the Shardblade was bound to give them assurance. He hoped he wouldn't have to use it, but the mockery these peace talks were turning into made him want it closer than even ten hearbeats. Parshendi murdering his artifabrians! And his own people trying to murder the Parshendi in turn? How on Roshar was he to forge a lasting peace with the Parshendi if his people wouldn't even give peace long enough for negotiations to happen? His people had accused another Parshendi - Kintas - of being a murderer as well. Apparently, someone had seen how well it worked against the other accused Parshendi and decided to try it again. It was almost as if somebody in the shadows wanted all the Parshendi on this plateau dead. He had already started hanging his own men if they were found inciting violence against a Parshendi. He hoped it would be enough. As he finished his circuit, a runner arrived with the day's report. A mob had tried to murder Kintas, but the Parshendi had survived. Good for him. Another one, Kyner, had escaped another murder attempt by an unidentified Alethi. And both Kreshela and one of his camp followers reported surviving attacks from unknown assailants. Too much skulking in the shadows was going on for his comfort. He liked an enemy he could just meet on the battlefield. Finally, Zephyras had been found dead in his tent. An examination of his post had indicated that he was part of a secret society, bent on murder just for the love of the hunt. An odd tattoo had been found on the inside of his arm. Dalinar made a mental note to check the rest of his delegation for such a tattoo, just in case. He began another circuit of the camp. I'm actually very suspicious of Araris, and i want discussion much much more than a bandwagon on ecth. So Araris, you're subtly defending ecthelion and casting doubt on flash's methods. And now you vote on a counter to ecth. Seems an awful lot like team behavior to me. And why are you suspicious of drake? I don't have a read yet, but I'd like better articulated suspicions if you don't mind

Day 4: Retribution The deaths of Locke and Aredor came as a complete surprise to the entire contingent. The two artifabrians had worked closely together, and had helped to identify Plato Anderson as a holder of unholy power. That, in turn, had threatened to upset the entire unstable balance of power in the camp, especially after an unknown Alethi had murdered Arbol as well. So when the artifabrians indicated Kintas as a potential murderer, Eshonai decided that she had taken enough. Would the Alethi accuse and bring to trial her entire delegation, simply on grounds of being Parshendi? Stalking to her tent, she opened a chest. Inside were Shardplate and a Shardblade, the last of them possessed by her people. One of her most loyal followers would be given the honor of bearing them. If the Alethi were going to hide their murderous intentions behind the trappings of deliberation, she was going to give her people a chance to defend themselves. As she returned to the camp, she found the camp in turmoil. The bodies of Locke and Aredor were lying in the center of the camp, riddled with decay. Eshonai shivered involuntarily. What could have done this? She hoped it was not more of her people adopting the forms of the gods. They couldn't be that desperate yet. An Alethi body hung from a gibbet as well. Raaman, a guardsman in Dalinar's camp, had been charged with the murder of Arbol. The evidence gathered seemed to indicate an innocent man, however, and Eshonai was certain that more was going on beneath the surface. -------------------------------------- Day 4 has begun! So, a few weeks ago I accidentally signed out of the site on my mobile. Ever since then, whenever I sign in on mobile, it signs me out on my PC, and vice versa. Previously, I was able to remain signed in on both devices. Is this expected behavior?

Public Service Announcement: It has come to my attention that, due to mistaken assumptions during the game creation stage, this game is systemically biased against one faction. In order to provide a fun and enjoyable game experience for everyone, the following rules changes are to take effect as of this moment: All Parshendi now gain the benefit of the warform extra life regardless of the form they have taken. The same applies to Voidbringers and the stormform extra life. A Parshendi must still be in warform to protect another player. In addition, it is now possible for a Parshendi to be a Shardbearer. A Parshendi Shardbearer possesses both plate and blade, and may use their blade to attack another player.

The Alethi delegation had come to her with evidence that one of her own had been tampering with forbidden powers. With no choice, she had ordered the execution of one of her own in front of the whole camp. Things had not improved after another of her people was murdered. By an Alethi, no doubt, with the telltale marks of a Shardblade on his body. Perhaps peace was impossible. Perhaps she should try to kill the whole Alethi delegation, hamstringing their leadership. Not at all. I simply note that you have threatened the village by saying that if we don't lynch Joe for you now, you will turn to the Elims to do so. Then you offer vague assurances that if we follow you on lynching Joe, then the neutrals will be free to remain neutral. All I'm saying is that if, after we as the village have honored your request in good faith - sacrificing a turn of our only ability to find the Eliminators to do so, you turn to the Eliminator's side, I will consider you to have acted in bad faith, and react accordingly.
