  1. I asked Chaos to change the quoting system so WoBs would be preserved in quotes. It has some definite disadvantages with gigantic quote trains, and I apologize for that. It was more of an experimental request by me to Chaos. If you really find it irritating in a few days, definitely PM me and let me know and I'll ask Chaos to change it back or else I'll add a way to limit nesting to 2 quotes. As to the SS and laws: I'm not sure a Skybreaker could be convinced to follow laws that change at the whims of leaders. I imagine there's some provisions about not following unjust laws or something somewhere, though we know too little to say for sure. It's more that I can't break up the quote train. When I try, I do what I did before and it all goes blank. I tried deleting the text in the inner quote, so hopefully that works. Maybe add a "quote all" button that will do what the altered quote button does now? Anyways, there could definitely be a provision in there, but given what we've seen, I doubt it. I like Dunkum's idea on that. Edit: Yeah, even though I deleted the text, the original quote is still there, and I can't delete it.
  2. Seconded. I've nothing against Keanu Reeves, but he's really not who I picture in the role. All that graphic proves is that Keanu Reeves is the Lord Ruler. Liam Neeson would be an amazing Prof. He could play the character so well. Especially the darker moments. However, "Liam Neeson isn't killing anyone in this scene." *DING* Possibly, but Liam Neeson would be the only other actor that I'd accept as Prof. Either Keanu or Liam, nobody else. I still prefer Keanu, he can do the darker characters better, IMO.
  3. This new quoting system is messing with me big time. Anyways, it would only matter if it broke a law in Shinovar, which is the key. I mean, the Stone Shamans (I was going to say SS, but that might be the worst thought out acronym of all time, so I'll just call them Stoners from now on) could conceivably change the law, anyways.
  4. He's 50. I think that's old enough.
  5. If Szeth bonded a highspren, he wouldn't be able to attack Kaladin anyways. Or kill the Stone Shamans, for that matter. I'm thinking that Stormlight 3 will have Szeth bond a highspren, and then choose between letting the Stone Shamans live or blindly following Nalan. That would be a nice turn of events, I think.
  6. But wouldn't Szeth need to draw nightblood for it to consume a shardblade? If he did, Night blood would just drain him, instead. Right?
  7. Name: Random RPG Protagonist Power: Finding completely random magical items of varying power in odd locations. Brand of Evil: Killing everyone because corpses around him spawn more random magical items.
  8. Sweet, Yam, or Regular Potato?
  9. Why not inflate the potato into a balloon?
  10. No, like a potato in a minefield...
  11. I'd ask why, but the response would probably be odder than the number 69.
  12. And I'm as tall as a 5'7" Tom Cruise... :'(
  13. Sorry, but Keanu Reaves is really the only choice. He's shown time and time again that he can pull off Prof's character type, not to mention the black labcoat. On a side note, it would be awesome if we get a Stormlight Archive TV series a la Game of Thrones.
  14. Granted. It's made by Ubisoft. When it's released, all the characters' faces are missing, and the whole thing looks like a crappy Tim Burton movie. I wish for a piece of chocolate cake.
  15. Szeth-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-son-Kholin. As I said, Knights Kholin.
  16. I thought that we were following the Knights Kholin, right? That's what's so special about them. They're all descended from the original Kholin, Jezrien Kholin (and Shallash Kholin, for what that's worth). I should leave now, I guess...
  17. Probably Division. Adolin may become a dustbringer, and Szeth may become a skybreaker. Both share the surge of division. Also, I hope that Kal lashes Syl into a gravity hammer. Pattern holds Shallan's illusions, Syl should hold Kal's lashings.
  18. Yeah, I concur. After all, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
  19. I could have sworn that Oblit thanked David for telling him how to fight it. That doesn't seem like peril. Maybe some sort of excitement?
  20. Brandon RAFO'd when somebody asked if Radiants have gemhearts. If they do, that would present a physical barrier on the amount of stormlight somebody could hold.
  21. Maybe I read the end of Firefight wrong, but I got the vibe that Obliteration realized that he was wrong about his... convictions and went off to overcome his fear and get rid of Calamity's influence. If this is the case, he's definitely redeemable (and a better person than the other epics who simply succumbed to the EE).
  22. I'm not sure what you're getting at. I understand his role in making the bomb. What I'm saying is that David convinces him that what he's doing with Regalia is wrong, at which point he drops David off in the safe house and runs off to overcome his fear. If he had casually gone up to Regalia and killed her (she wouldn't have known, at that point), Regalia wouldn't have exploded the bomb. That's what I'm saying.
  23. So, I was thinking about this the other day, and realized that Prof didn't need to go full epic, and that it would have been really easy to prevent it. So, we know that Obliteration was trying to kill David (again), but was then told about how he could overcome his weakness. At this point, he teleported David to Regalia and then left. David then walked into Regalia's room, and killed her AFTER she exploded the bomb. Here's the thing: this didn't need to happen. Now, I know that David likely couldn't have killed her in time to stop her from pressing the button, but somebody else could have: Obliteration. If Obliteration had just sucked all of the heat out of Regalia, he would have killed her instantly. She wouldn't have pressed the button, and Prof wouldn't have gone evil. He didn't even have to do that. He could have just teleported into the room and extracted Prof and the other reckoners, or at least have done SOMETHING. But he just left. 30 seconds of his time could have prevented the major catastrophe that followed. Obliteration dropped the ball.
