What Is So Special About The Kholin Family?
Patrick Star replied to ZxlinkxZ's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's because Wyndle is an edgedancerspren. Edgedancers are all about the unimportant people, so Edgedancerspren would share that view. -
What Is So Special About The Kholin Family?
Patrick Star replied to ZxlinkxZ's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am absolutely SICK of having to repeat my PERFECTLY ACCURATE, 100% TRUE, AUTHOR-VERIFIED fact that we are not following the Knights Radiant, but the KNIGHTS KHOLIN. Here's where the evidence originally surfaced: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/23344-relationships-between-heralds/page-2 It is absolutely true. You cannot deny it. -
By the way, I'm pretty sure that chasmfiend gemhearts are always emerald. The Parshendi need them to soulcast food, which is a use reserved for emeralds.

Yeah, I'm still going with an amazing horse.
-
How do we know that he didn't just ride a horse up there?
-
If he does this, I will march over to Utah to give him a piece of my mind. Of course, I'm a slow walker, so stormlight 4 will probably release by the time I get there and make me forget about 3, but still. That would be sad

They could also be diamond nanothreads. Literally the strongest material in the universe (mathematically speaking).

Great. Now I can't stop thinking of him asking "Do you want to know how I got these brands?" I do see what you mean with Dalinar. I think his face might be a tad bit long and narrow, it's certainly longer than any of the other characters. Maybe a thicker jaw might help? Anyways, this is nitpicking. It's far better than anything that I could have done (If I drew these, it would be the adventures of stick-man and twig-woman).

He's a Bondsmith. He walked up the mountain. Just my guess. Brandon did RAFO somebody who asked whether Nohadon was a Bondsmith.

Dammit GHM! I was going to say the same thing! To be fair though, you can lose the question mark. We all know it won't be long enough.

The New Ending To Kaladin Szeth Fight
Patrick Star replied to Sasukerinnegan's topic in Stormlight Archive
The way I interpreted it, squires piggyback off of a radiant's nahel bond. So they can probably heal spiritual damage, but it may take more stormlight to do so. -
I'm pretty sure that I could find a painting of Nicolas Cage. Edit: Here we go, this will do nicely.

Does anyone know of a website where I could do a mashup/hybrid of Nicolas Cage and the Wit painting?

Can we name the chasmfiend? I vote for 'Charlie'. Charlie the Chasmfiend

Hmm, this seems to imply that shardplate is actually a crystalline solid, and not an amorphous. Frankly, it could just be a crystal. Think of cloud seeding: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_seeding Having the seed would help the shardplate grow back with less stormlight. It would act similarly to a catalyst.

Theories About Szenth's Dark Sphere
Patrick Star replied to The Unhallowed's topic in Stormlight Archive
I'm still holding out hope for it being an unmade-in-a-box. It's definitely Odious. Gavilar wanted to start a desolation, after all.- 51 replies

Probably not. If anything, it would probably get supper brittle and weak, going from awesome magical glass to boring, normal glass.

Yeah, I think that the glass/amorphous solid is a good bet for the composition shardplate. That explains why it has the molten look when it stops working, how it can easily mold to the wearer's body, and why it cracks and shatters, rather than denting. There's literally no reason that we know of for why this wouldn't be the case.

What if it's actually a super viscous fluid? Kind of like stormlight-infused glass, or the stuff inside a spartan's mjolnir power armor.

For some reason, I always imagine that Hoid is a younger version of Nicolas Cage. Nice work.

"What are you gonna to do, stab me?" - Darkeyed laborer, 10 seconds pre-death (by stabbing). -
Where is that in the book?
