The heralds, where are they now(spoilers)
Patrick Star replied to .S.A.M.K.M's topic in Stormlight Archive
With all of the turmoil in the world, the Heralds are now watching Daredevil, Better Call Saul, and Game of Thrones season 5 over at Cultivation's place. They want to go to the Tranquiline Halls Theatre, but it won't have any good movies until Age of Ultron comes out. -
Who Could Szeth not Kill
Patrick Star replied to Ethan the Zinc Compounder's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, sort of like enchanted swords from Elder Scrolls and pretty much any other RPG series (where a better enchantment and material = more investment), and like Eragon's special metal sword. I still think that Wobbuffet would be Szeth's most formidable opponent. Even if he does manage to kill it, Destiny Bond will ensure that Szeth dies as well. -
Who Could Szeth not Kill
Patrick Star replied to Ethan the Zinc Compounder's topic in Stormlight Archive
When we're discussing interacting magic systems, it's not possible to assume that just because it works one way in one area, it works the same as in the other. Brandon already said that shardblades are adapted from lightsabers, as are energy swords in halo and various other weapons. As such, when interacting, it is proper to treat them as equals in these hypothetical situations. Edit: I also forgot that chief's shields actually would NOT stop a shardblade, as an energy sword is enough to cut through them. However, his spartan time more than makes up for that. He's just too quick, even for Szeth. -
Who Could Szeth not Kill

I don't know, maybe a rapid fire rocket launcher? Or a chaingun? Or a stun grenade? Maybe an electrical discharge? Prime's a robot with easily exascale computing power and is armed to the teeth, he can react way before Szeth can get to him and has a huge arsenal. Plus, I already mentioned the super-strong energy shield. Same with Chief (about reaction, not about being a robot). Also, Wobbuffet would kick his butt. It's a psychic damage sponge. Even with Nightblood, Szeth couldn't one-hit-KO it. And its counter moves would vaporize Szeth instantly. He may wound Wobbuffet, but he couldn't kill it. -
My bad, I have bad memory But seriously, he's a night watchman at a factory who's also a doomsday prepper. I'd give him a solid % chance at being one.

Guys, please remember that Steelheart was a drugged up conspiracy theorist. He was probably high and/or drunk and slept/stumbled through his rending. Remember, don't drink and fly!

Who Could Szeth not Kill
Patrick Star replied to Ethan the Zinc Compounder's topic in Stormlight Archive
Let me explain a couple of my characters Optimus Prime: First, he has a ton of guns and very accurate targeting sensors. There is no way that Szeth could get close enough with nightblood to hit Prime. Second, all Transformers have energy shields, similar to Master Chief (play Fall of Cybertron), but they're a lot stronger. Since a lightsaber could duel with a shardblade, an energy shield would protect Prime from the Honorblade, and Nightblood as well. Hey, my shield can take a rocket easily, which packs a larger punch than Nightblood. Third, he can drive (or fly) away if he has to retreat. Master Chief: First, he's protected by Energy Shields. Second, he has guns, and knows how to use them. Third, the Spartan augmentation process gives all Spartans "SPARTAN-Time", they can see everything happening in slow (and fast) motion (at least 13x slow motion, even more with an AI). Chief would be way too nimble for nightblood to score a hit, and his energy shields would protect against the honorblade (but not nightblood, due to a lower power supply than Prime). Fourth, he has supernatural luck and impenetrable plot armor. -

Dovahkiin (and pretty much any powerful Elder Scrolls character), Master Chief (or any other Spartan), Eragon, any Fallout protagonist (VATS, enough said), Chuck Norris, Rambo, Commander Shepard, Luke Skywalker (or any other Jedi), most comic book characters, Optimus Prime, and a Wobbuffet. -
Which Surge would you like to have?

Which one would help me get a 4.0 in college? Probably progression (grow my brain, or something). -

Since they kept dying during Desolations, they reached a critical death mass and suddenly got transported to the Game of Thrones Universe. All of the heralds we've seen are actually GoT characters that were replaced by our Heralds. -

How many times must I warn you?

I may need to brush up on my magic to stop this revival of the dead.

Why/what was the place the Heralds endured between Desolations?

Please, stop dabbling in the dark arts. -
Dude, please stop. It's annoying.

Again? Really?

Heh, missed that. I would have liked to see Brandon put this on his official site, though...

So, I'm pretty sure we all remember Brandon's Stick Interlude from exactly a year ago today. However, there has been nothing so far this year, and there are only a few hours left. What April Fools joke do you want Brandon to put out? THIS IS URGENT!

I'm kidding about the horse. I just love doing that in Skyrim. Either way, picture obliged.
-
But Nohadon would instantly be recognizable riding a Ryshadium. He HAD to have ridden a normal horse! One that a peasant would have to use.

Guys, I really don't get why you're all discrediting my perfectly viable horse theory
