  1. Really getting a kick out of these replies, but a great deal of this speculation relies on the account of the Herald Kalak.
  2. @bliev We don't know the extent of Iyatil's knowledge, but Kelsier was briefly Preservation's Vessel.
  3. Q. If you could write something we don’t already know about the Moon Sceptre? A. I run into problems with some of these things, because there’s not much to say, but what there is to say can be very spoilery. (writes “RAFO! But it is not Mraize’s stick”) Good lord, why would he say something horrible like this? Don't we believe that Hoid has the Moon Scepter?
  4. Cem / Argent, I think there's much more to it. When Rock tells his story about the man (who is almost certainly Hoid, given the description and Sigzil's reaction) coming out of the water in the Horneater peaks, he says the following: “No, of course not. Lunu’anaki cannot hurt man. Is forbidden by other gods. Everyone knows this.” Sanderson, Brandon (2014-03-04). Words of Radiance (Stormlight Archive, The) (p. 541). Tom Doherty Associates. Kindle Edition.
  5. It's a shame that the only bit of description we have of Nazh (here, in the section referenced by LightReader) is that he is "lanky." Since illusion plays a part in so many magic systems, we can't really even trust that.
  6. I asked Brandon something along these lines when he came to Portland in March. I recorded my questions and his answers, hopefully I'll be able to transcribe them sometime soon. To the best of my recollection, I asked him if we would be getting the end of Hoid's story before we got the beginning, and he said that we will get Dragonsteel before we get the final mistborn trilogy.
  7. I haven't seen anyone bring up the fact that Cusicesh seems entirely unresponsive to interaction. Could it be that (s)he suffered this fate as part of the recreance?
  8. From the San Francisco(?) signing: Q: If Nightblood were on Roshar would he be a Shardblade? A: Yes, they are exactly the same thing. He is a Shardblade that is twisted and is a lot more powerful than normal. I take your point about being a splinter, vs. containing a splinter. But again, we've also been told that Seons are not splinters. They contain splinters (the Aon inside the Seon is the splinter).
  9. Spren are shardblades Seons/Skaze could be shardblades, if they were more firmly anchored(?) in the physical realm Nightblood is a shardblade Could one of the Returned, capable of changing his form, also become a shardblade?
