But there's so much characterization you can pack into walking! Scorch walked sullenly. Scorch walked moodily. Scorch walked irritably, kicking random pebbles. Scorch walked carefully, avoiding stepping on cracks because he had been deeply superstitious since his father's death in a tragic ladder accident.

Thanks a lot. It took most of the morning to rewrite the lyrics, and then the rest of the day to wrestle with the comic creator and a slow Internet connection. The third panel in particular was a hardship to create. But yeah--if you ever take a look at the comic creator, this is what you'll find yourself spending your time on. And while logically I should be exhausted and determined to avoid this experience in the future, I keep finding myself plotting another one. I guess it could become canon, if we introduced a destiny-switching Epic to Oregon.

It's done... it's finally done! * begins cackling maniacally, then realizes how much of his day he spent putting this mediocre comic together * Ahem. Here it is. Ladies and gentlecolts, "What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me," Oregon cover.

I'll post here soon to depict Sam's surprise and bewilderment (she's been around Epics before, but she's never been handed a chainsaw and told to help out in a fight.) Almost done with the pony song depiction thing that has frustratingly taken up all my day taken a while to make.

You know things just got real when people start asking about room layout. (That sounds about right, but Twi probably knows more than me.)
-
I half-expected to see an empty picture put in for Incognito. I can't think of anything to add to the Tillamook cottage scene, so don't feel the need to give me time to post. Carry on citizens.
-
Why exactly isn't that an option?
-
Thank ye kindly.

Edgedancer, do you still have the Voidgaze pony code for the old creator?
-
If you think about it, it's actually kind of cool that the two longest threads on the forum--The Newcago Court and Question--are both connected to the Reckoners series.
-
I'm actually re-writing a non-rap song at the moment to fit our Oregon Epics. I'll post it once I've gotten it plugged into the SSCS6000.

"Well, well, well. It seems some of you have been accused of hostile interactions with your peers. I won't waste time explaining the ethics of what you have done. I won't bother telling you to put yourself in the victim's shoes. Instead, just know that you will feel scorpions crawling down your clothes and orifices until you promise never to do it again." I hadn't noticed the parallels either--but they are awesome!

Good point. And wait... Megan said she grew up in Portland. She personally witnessed what happened in Oregon. Is she actually present in the city at the time of this RP? If so, Twi, I'd suggest a Megan POV scene for the game's epilogue. If we're thinking that far ahead.

Oh, so it will come down to a nightmare battle, will it? Just you wait. Sam's backstory has some pretty horrifying moments too. Moments to make your skin crawl. And behold, the combined horror of this RP will make other players weep in despair, and not a single one of us will have an undisturbed night's sleep for the rest of our lives. (Also, when I look into that alicorn's smile for too long, I feel like he's slowly drawing out my soul.)

Planet of the Apes has nothing on us. (Really though, as any ecologist will tell you, these kinds of alterations to the animal population will eventually have major effects. I mean, what if Chimerans are capable of breeding with unaltered animals? What if Lightwards really does end up releasing dinosaurs into the wild? Inter-Epic battles are an inefficient way of destroying Oregon. Having nature itself turn on the human race, churning out legions of mutated and extinct horrors to rampage among survivors... that would destroy the state far quicker than the Empire and CorpseMaker bumping heads together.)

Wait... I know what must be done here. The Pack, a Raptor x Puligatoroospider story

The next minute was a blur that only Aldo's deduction could make sense of. He heard Cricket's warning and rose to his feet, a revolver in hand. Before Cricket could reach the room, the woman from the alleyway appeared in the doorway, her face shocked and appalled. This time he got a better look at her. She was much taller than the average woman, and was wearing a lace outfit reminiscent of Edwardian fashion. Though her dress was that of a civilized lady, her hair was a wild mess of brown curls that seemed to wage an ongoing war on her pear-adorned hat. Up and down her body he could make out pockets and hidden folds that seemed to be hiding small bottles. "Poison!" the mad woman shrieked, running into the room. Her hands moved quickly and agilely to her hat, pulling out a pair of unusually sharp hairpins. She threw them across the room, sending them in a trajectory that would have placed them straight in Aldo's throat. Aldo stepped out of the way, letting the needles pass him by and stab into the wall behind him. His still-confused mind made out multiple details. Phoenix's eyes shot open from the couch and he jumped to his feet. His voice, sounding more determined than Aldo had ever heard it in their brief time together, shouted the name "MARIGOLD!" loud and clearly through the room. In the doorway behind the Edwardian lady, Cricket appeared with a look of murder in her eyes. She poised for a kick--a kick which undoubtedly would snap the woman's spine in two. Aldo raised his hand and yelled "STOP!" just before she could deliver a killing blow. Phoenix and the woman--Marigold--embraced in the middle of the dusty living room. Aldo cracked a small smile at the sight. They were an unlikely couple--a rugged mountain man in a purple suit pressed against a strange cross between an Edwardian lady and a hippie. Aldo put his revolver on the table and put his hands in the air, stepping away from the couple to show he meant no harm. "Well, this is becoming an increasingly enlightening experience for everyone, I am sure," he said with a chuckle. "I find myself being the least enlightened of us all, however... would anyone care to explain what is happening in this room?"

But I've already done a dinosaur POV. You don't want the big raptor to suffer Villain Decay, do you? (It would be pretty dark and disturbing to have Funtimes cheerfully traveling with an absurd pet that's secretly locked in an "And I Must Scream" state, wouldn't it? It would be a real shame if someone were to canonize that morbid thought... )
-
Or a chameleon's color-changing ability. (I need to procure one of Chimera's pets for myself, just so I can write a point of view segment for it. )
-
...Am I the only one who thinks that from an animal's perspective, Chimera is just as horrifying--if not more so--than Slaughterhouse? He takes a sentient creature, warps its flesh, steals its key traits, and ultimately destroys what little remains of its identity by hijacking its mind and consciousness. On the other hand, a Puligatoroostrider sounds completely awesome and Funtimes needs one right away.
-
If by "hold down the fort" you mean descend deeper into madness and dark alleys, spreading pony pictures wherever we go, then we're already on it. Have fun!
-
But it's well-intentioned. Also, I think of this song as I watch Altermind and the Thoughttown gang determinedly make their morning plans.
-
I think it's clear that CorpseMaker is the Big Bad, Lightwards is the Well-Intentioned Extremist, Altermind is the Knight Templar, and Funtimes as Twi has pointed out is the Cloudcuckoolander. TV Tropes brilliantly describes every character in the RP. The abandoned home with Phoenix and Saccharine? I guess I can write up a scene about Aldo awkwardly watching the two lovebirds embracing.
-
This is where they're living and this is who they're up against. I love TV Tropes.

In the Tillamook shack? Go right ahead, I have nothing to do at this point. And don't get used to Sam keeping her mouth shut around Lucentia. Once the situation isn't as potentially volatile, she'll be quipping on her general shininess at every opportunity. So, where exactly can I buy tickets?
