I like the idea of this immensely. It sounds like a nifty way of playing with the genre staples of suave British heroes, mysterious Russian agents, and corrupt American agencies. (Add an Australian superspy who carries a machete and rides a crocodile and you'll be all set. ) Myself... I likely won't be writing anything big or flashy for this. Whatever I end up writing will probably be a short piece of flash fiction, not much longer than the average RP post I write on the Reckoners RPG board. (<<Shameless piece of new board promotion.) Lately my only original work in the field of fiction is nebulous worldbuilding for a science fiction setting. Mainly working on fleshing out a few alien ecosystems. So worst case scenario, this Christmas you'll all get a vaguely holiday-themed zoological description of the Nyssan Greater Winter Hawk.

In about thirty minutes I'll have to run errands, but then I'll be back to writing. Today's my deadline for the Portland post--I have Sam's introduction to zombie!Pamela in the bag, but I'll have to work hard if I want to work in a flashback sequence. If not, then Sam's first flashback will be posted before Ms. Trattner drifts off to sleep this night.

You have a TwiLyght pony. You have General Zoi's pony creator. You can ponify your jealous face. I am also quite jealous. Unlike many people on this forum, I have never even seen Brandon Sanderson, much less spoken to him.

Those sound like good guidelines to me. Will there be a separate Rules and Etiquette thread? And when do I get to start the official pony thread? "What Happened to Kobold's Credibility as GM" died a while ago, I'm afraid.

"Haha! Look at the two-dimensional character over here!" I can't think of anything off the top of my head. The only thing I can think of would be a reminder not to kill off other people's characters without permission, but that's probably obvious.

When your name is on an official 17th Shard board description. -
Wait--the Cocoa Puffs prompt is an official forum policy now? (That was an excellently written explanation of free-form RP-ing, TwiLyght. )

I would ask for further clarification about the new board, but I am busy dancing across the room to the bewilderment of my house guests.

A dedicated "What Happened in Oregon" board, or a more generic play-by-post games repository?

Visitors are coming. I shall spend the day tragically separated from the forum and my copy of Legion: Skin Deep.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, but you will swap bodies with the person you despise the most until said archenemy has eaten the cookie. It will, of course, be delicious, crunchy, and overall delicious to your enemy's new taste buds. I wish for Matt Smith to go back to portraying the Doctor on Doctor Who. -
Don't worry Funtimes. A few more deaths and he'll come 'round. The worst part is that I start wondering which Epics would sing different parts of the song while I listen to it. If the creator had a lion-skin cape, then maybe I could finally get some closure from this.

Do you by any chance own either a Remington or a Springfield rifle? That could cheer you up. That second one is so precisely what Funtimes must think of the Museum, it's eerie. Myself, I've just been listening to "Counting Scars" on repeat when I think of Oregon Epics.

Good points. Personally I think a decent number of Epics do--at the very least, the more powerful ones that like drawing attention to themselves. I forgot that Steelheart wore relatively normal clothes and not exactly "tights." Though the description in the book seems to indicate his shirt fit rather snugly and accentuated his muscle mass. Just a general question. Though I am still pondering what Jingleberry's likely to wear. This comment alone makes this entire conversation worthwhile.

I'm not convinced that Hoid isn't a future incarnation of the Doctor. So, general Reckonerverse question: how prevalent are tights in Epic costumes? It's no secret that the Reckonerverse is a deconstruction of comic book universes, and skin-tight costumes are arguably a staple of the genre. Superman wears a tight costumes that accentuates his muscles, Wonder Woman wears tights that accentuate... er, other things. Are Epics prone to wearing tight flashy costumes like Steelheart, or do most of them wear crisp suits like Fortuity and Deathpoint?

Ooh, me likey. What kind of spy story are we talking about--a dark, gritty espionage story, or something lighter and more Christmassy? I approve.

Eh... I haven't put much thought into the name. My notes just list his home as "Weaseltown." :/ I don't know... "Weselton," maybe? I haven't fleshed out his character much, but he's definitely a superstitious character who hates magic. Also, he's a fantastic dancer.

I have a character concept for the duke of a town entirely inhabited by weasels. Any way we could fit him into the story?
