  1. Maybe people subconsciously mix her up with Funtimes? Or maybe it's because her general personality makes people assume she must be wearing outlandish clothing. Have you posted a physical description of her that includes her clothing? Thanks. If you want them to. I didn't think him through that well.
  2. I'm not Voidus, but will any of these do? Menagerie: a young woman capable of transforming herself into any animal she's seen in person before. Cutcloud: can create clouds of broken glass which he can project outwards away from himself. Cursor: can project a small astral hand which he uses to throw objects or punch people in the face. Knock 'Em: generic strength Epic. No prime invincibility, but he can lift a car and shatter skulls with his fist.
  3. ...Uh, I thought you meant "sow" as in a female pig and "rong" as in the Chinese family name?
  4. Rebooting... rebooting... recovering lost data... buffering speech patterns... reloading sense of humor... reestablishing connection with social norm processing... Ugh... what happened? Is that chocolate I smell through my computer screen? Why did I... Oh. * upvotes comic *
  5. I get the feeling that we'll be upvoting it far too uproariously to hear your apologies.
  6. If you sent Fluttershy to Storybrooke, Regina and Mr. Gold would be reformed within the week.

"Er…I mean…here, Belle. Take it. Keep it. It's yours."

  7. I've gotta admit: I'd be lying if I claimed not to harbor an unrequited crush on Mizzy from Firefight. She dots her 'i's with little hearts even while plotting to assassinate the world's most dangerous supervillains. What a gal.
  8. I too enjoyed the fabulous first appearance of Taylor Swift. Iga or Koga, maybe?
  9. Based off of this Buttersafe comic here, but with milder language.
  10. Sam and Revolution haven't known each other for two full days yet, and already they're writing bestsellers. Would now be a bad time to post the pony Epic version of a Buttersafe comic I made?
  11. Cool. Also, it just occurred to me: I have an Epic character in The Dalles named Glamour who's very into pre-Calamity pop music. If you choose to bring Taylor there, she might very well have a No. 1 fan of her own before long.
  12. ... I like her. My first thought was "Taylor Swift? That's a pretty name. It sounds a bit familiar, though." It took a Google search to inform my pop culture-oblivious self who under Calamity's red light Taylor Swift is. (I viewed the spoiler tag, by the way. I know most characters' weaknesses, so I'm well-accustomed to separating character and player knowledge by this point. ) My only questions at this point are as follows: Does she have enough control over her shapeshifting to become certain pieces of technology--a gun, for instance? Since the RP is set ten years after Calamity, is it safe to assume that most younger characters will have absolutely no idea who she is? (Like me? )
  13. Hello, and welcome to the RP! There's definitely a lot going on, but since most characters are about equally confused at the level of chaos that's enveloping the state, not knowing who's who isn't really a problem. We most certainly do not have a straight shapeshifter at this point--honestly, I'd be excited to see one in action. And even if we did have one, doubling up on powers isn't necessarily a bad thing--we have several teleporters and resurrection Epics in the game so far, after all. Character bios should be posted here on the Question thread for everyone to read and get acquainted with, with weaknesses either made public or sent to the GM. (TwiLyghtSansSparkles runs the game as a whole, but Edgedancer is the Game Master of What Happened in Astoria.) You're most certainly not interrupting anything--we're always excited to see new players! I for one can't wait to see what you bring to the RP. P.S. What Happened in Portland is currently closed due to the high number of High Epic characters already in town. What Happened in The Dalles is the default setting for newcomers, taking place in a city where normal humans have managed to maintain control. What Happened in Astoria takes place in the domain of the High Epic Lucentia, and is a newer thread devoted to large-scale battles between the most powerful Epics in the state.
  14. Any noun sounds cooler if you append the word "space" to its beginning.

  15. I appreciate all the help I can get. Though Brandon Sanderson answered a WoT question asked of him today, so with any luck we might get some of our more important Reckonerverse questions answered yet.
  16. Revised list. Known RAFO-bait questions are marked with asterisks now.
  17. Edgedancer, I'll take a look at the questions you knocked off in a minute. Every question we can eliminate from the list now is one more useful question we can get someone to ask at a signing. I'll PM Lightsworn.
  18. Would you like tp shuffle the current priorities around a bit more first? I confess I didn't invest much effort in that aspect of the list.
  19. Yay, new topic! Should it go to the Reckoners board, or is it RP-centric enough that it needs to be on this board? (Also, I know you read the list's first draft Edgedancer. Either you have nothing to add, or you have so much to add that it's taking you a lot of time to write it up. )
  20. I think I'll wait until at least Voidus and Mailliw can take a look at it. Do you think I should ultimately post it on the Humble Appeal thread, or start a new topic on it somewhere?
  21. The list is starting to get pretty big. Here's the FUNTIMES list now:
  22. "Professor, will our textbook cover abnormal psychology cases later in the semester?" "RAFO."
