  1. That's just speculation by all of us. I think the only account of them is that they bind.
  2. That's exactly what I'm thinking. Nightblood will probably act like a spren, it at least has it's own conscious and will talk to Szeth. Maybe it's like a voidspren, or something like that. It'll be very interesting to see it's effects.
  3. I personally think that Adolins killing will be discovered and he will be banished. (He states that if he killed Sadeas he would either get executed or banished). Then he'll go on his own adventure being broken, probably revive his sword (unless it gets taken away because of his banishment). Stuff will go down.
  4. I don't think Nightblood will allow szeth a spren and instead act like one already.
  5. It's worth looking at, but wouldn't Adolin have made a bigger deal about it than he did?
  6. I think Nightblood is going to add a lot of powers to Szeth that we don't know about. It is pretty much a shardblade on Roshar. I think Nightblood might even act like a spren because it can talk to Szeth in his mind. So like a super void blade/voidspren? We'll have to see.
  7. I'm fairly positive that he does have an honor blade, it makes complete sense. He is truth less because he said that the KR were coming back, but his people said that it was a lie. If he finds out that the KR really have returned, then he isn't truth less. Mr. T doesn't want to lose a valuable asset yet and would like to kill off Dalinar. I don't know everything I read pointed to Szeth having an honor blade, he has no spren, when Kaladin catches his sword it doesn't scream, etc, but you never know... I do believe that Szeth won't have any of his surge binding powers, but Nightblood is definitely going to give him something else.
  8. The only evidence that I can see of him having a spren is the screams he hears, though it sounds a little different than normal dead spren screams. I personally don't think we have enough info and background on Szeth to really figure him out.
  9. Good points. I don't think Lift would ever meet up with the main characters either.
  10. I don't think that particularly means anything, it's just describing how the mists looks like as it forms. Are there any other descriptions of shard blades forming that we can compare this too? Or do we know that all edge dancing spren were vine/garden like spren? We've only seen one account of it. --- As for Adolin, I think he's going to be banished and that's were his story will start, him deciding what to do while banished. He states when he's in the room during the high storm that if he killed Sadeas there, he'd either get put to death, or banished. It'll be interesting, I'm excited for it.
  11. I was thinking that they were Voidspren, but there isn't much to support that idea.
  12. I will admit that I haven't read the first book in a while, so I couldn't remember much of his past. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't view Kaladin to be smarter than Adolin.
  13. I think people forget that Kaladin isn't a really intelligent guy. He just went straight into the army, he has a great knowledge of combat, leading, and that kind of stuff though. Adolin has probably been taught more.
  14. I found a liking to Adolin. He's different and he showed why he wasn't like the other light eyes. He stayed in prison with Kaladin, he would help people and he was honest. I think he a pretty opposite contrast with Kaladin, so it was a joy to read his POV. He also an amazing sword fighter. I think there's a lot that is going to happen to him in the future. I also enjoyed Patterns character. He was curious about his surrounding and it was interesting to see how he viewed different things. He also gave a lot of information that helped the story. I didn't really like Lift, but maybe that will change.
  15. I'll have to go back and retread, but I took it as Kaladin had caught the blade with his hand. He had asked Zehal about it and Dalinar had done it too. So Relis was surprised and terrified by it, maybe he heard screams too.
  16. We are pretty certain that it isn't Taln's blade. When Dalinar summons it at the end of WoR he hears screaming and cuts his bond from it. When Kaladin takes Szeth's honorblade he doesn't hear screaming from it. If Dalinar really had Taln's blade then it wouldn't have screamed at him.
  17. Well she fell into a chasm and then there was a high storm and an ever storm, so that's a lot of water and flash floods. The biggest indicator that she might have survived is that we didn't see her die, she just fell. The other thing I want to know; did any of the other Parshendi survive? It didn't sound like they all got killed by weapons. I guess they could have survived because of storm form, but I'm sure there isn't a whole lot of them remaining.
  18. Yeah, I just said that his rage could be viewed as bad. As for the honor thing this is what Adolin thought about killing him before. So it will be interesting to see what happens. Maybe he will tell and get exiled and go on some adventures. Page 583 in WoR. "A small part of him wished for Sadeas to provoke him, push away his inhibitions, drive him to do something stupid. Killing the man right here, right now, would likely earn Adolin an execution- or at least an exile. It might be worth either punishment."
  19. I remember them saying that his people had 7 left. So Taln still had his, Szeth lost his when Kaladin took it, which means there is one missing I guess?
  20. I read it as he had an honor blade and that the shen people still had 7 of them. The heralds were obviously strong people and some how special besides just their blades. Look at how Taln was able to catch the blow dart and how big and strong he is. I think the honor blades gives each fractions powers with out needing a spren.
  21. 1. In the book it was said to just be a simple dream, it sounded like Dalinar hadn't had one of those in a long time, but I guess it could be something more. You can never really trust Sanderson and we really don't know enough. 2. I think spren can feel something within the person that they are going to bond with. If I remember correctly Syl had watched and followed Kaladin for a long time. So maybe Pattern could have sensed Shallans fate? We don't really know what happened before she killed her mother, so I'm not exactly sure.
  22. That's probably better, I can now draw whatever I think she looks like.
  23. I'm thinking of trying to sketch some of these out for fun. So keep the suggestions coming, I'm trying to think of some of my own too... Is there any descriptions of the night watcher? I'm trying to find any place that she is mentioned.
  24. Hmm, I've just read it some place, but I think the main reason is that he has nightblood. That doesn't necessarily point to that though...
  25. Yeah Zahel is Vasher and as far as we know Nin is the herald of the sky breakers and he's been world jumping.
