  1. 3. Adonalsium - honestly it is quite simple. There is mention that it didn't fight it's splintering at the end. It also had the prescience of knowing it will be splintered. It makes sense that the sum is greater than the parts and it's abilities vastly outstrip even Cultivations's. We have now the shard of retribution - what is the biggest crime in the cosmere that we know of? The splintering. Why did Adonalsium allowed it's splintering - if you are THE CREATOR, you have to move away for some time to allow the creation to develop. The opposite is way too boring - the temptation to intervene and the capacity to shape will be too great. Braize is a planet that attract souls. It will eventually attract all the Vessels - it already attracted 3. Where Retribution awaits for them. TOdium don't mind absorbing new shards. So they will come, be absorbed and of course the last one absorbed will be Harmony that will bring back balance to the force. Then Adonalsium be restored enriched with the experience of all the vessels, shards, spren and every other invested thing. Couple of thousands/millions/trillions of years later it will either repeat the splitting trick or dump a shitload of investiture to keep the universe going, open the door to Beyond, go trough it and start the cycle anew by creating a new cosmere. So Braize is just the plan for reassembly. 1. Yeah, you can't just drop such a bomb as a passing remark and everyone just shrugs.
  2. She is pregnant. So I doubt there will be much hopping at least until books 8 All in all acceptable book. Too much therapy for my taste. I would classify it a s pyrrhic victory for team Honor.
  3. Taln will be the champion of Honor's side. Mental healing seems to be the fad these days. Swearing ideals brings clarity to him too. He is both the best warrior and the strongest will person humanity have. Also I think we was not actually broken, but for some reason send to Roshar. So it is only suitable that he will it, as the only human Odium didn't manage to break.
  4. The more and more I read - I have a hunch that the splintering of Honor was not a defeat, but a stratagem. He was prepared, he send a visions, he left his shadow and he did not sound desperate or defeatist in the Dalinar visions. So after some of the events Cultivation reforging Honor with the Stormfather at its core is something that would not surprise me a lot.
  5. A run of the mill child abuse could be explanation enough. It is not out of character for the father and with the mother deeply connected into some secret societies she could either not care or even encourage. Her father was way too calm in the red carpet scene. So it was not the event that turned him to go crazy.
  6. Nobody summoned their shardblade, Sadeas was trained and accomplished warrior and it was a fair fight. I think of it more of like BS getting rid of potential Padan Fain/Prophet (a character that is hard to get rid of and serves no purpose) down the road instead of some major character development point for Adolin.
  7. Just a random phrase that caught my attention. “You happy,” Adolin said, laughing. “You’ve got a face like a storm! I half think you could frighten off a storm.” It could be a distant foreshadowing about Kaladin -> Fleet.
  8. When Shallan was breaking into the monastery Yatil said something that sounded disturbingly like Gollum in Lord of the rings when she tries to immitate madness. “Should we kill them?” she muttered. “No. No, we shouldn’t. But someone will see! No, do not say these things. No. I will not listen to you.” I haven't read LoTR in english but I do remember something like that in the scenes with Gollum.
  9. I need to only turn a few milligrams of your blood to super coagulator(snake venom) to make you have fun times in the afterlife. Shallan had 6 liters. That is a lot of blood.
  10. Jasnah soulcasted Shallan's blood. That is low cost insta kill. All the fun things that it could be used at - soulcast the food as poison in the stomach or just create an air bubble in the bloodstream. With the bandits she was showing off and not trying for best efficiency.
  11. A dirty bomb theory. Dirty bomb is when you create a nuke so that it taints for a long time the earth and sea. We have few contradictory things about the last desolation. It was a bad one. A new stratagem. 9 out of 10 heralds survived. So it is either a miracle or something else. So my theory goes like this: Before the last battle our side are desperate and they employ some new stratagem - a dirty bomb of a kind that messes with the laws of the cosmere itself by the bondsmiths. Short term effects are that the enemy is severely weakened, and the abnormally low casualties ensure. Medium term effects of that event is the Recreance and the breaking of the oathpact and the tainting of all the bonds. Maybe the KR were acting in self preservation. Maybe the deed was so dishonorable that it made keeping any oaths impossible. So the Recreance had more to do with what won the last desolation and not the breaking of the pact.
