The "like" system with no downvotes is, in my opinion, not a useful methodology for a reputation system, and I'd rather just remove the system entirely. Additionally, though it is possible for us to move to a "Like" system, that removes anonymity, which I think is also important.

You are entirely correct on that note. Hey, Zucchini is one of our most hated members that we banned. We do need to add more negative reps. (No, you can't create an account to downvote bomb it to discover them.) We're thinking of adding Alaxel's many usernames to that list. If you ever get banned in a spectacular manner, you too might be a negative reputation level on the site!

The goal is to have all reputation be more scarce and mean something. The exact number may need some tweaking, but the previous cap of "upvote all the things and you'll never worry about the cap" is not going to be a thing any longer.

You probably hit the upvote quota. It is much, much less now. We don't want reputation to be devalued further.

Awards are coming back! I swear! Josh never lets me get away with the stupidity that I did with those. Trust me. He never lets me forget it (I might have erroneously removed that table as I theorized it was causing an upgrade issue. Spoiler: it did not. Also, though I could have sworn I saved that database table, uh... the mists have it now. Yep.)

Some people take imaginary internet points way too seriously/personally and so maybe it might be better if they weren't on the site any longer. That was the idea floating around. There will be a large post coming soon--actually soon, not soon™--solidifying 17th Shard's stances on reputation, upvotes, and downvotes. So far they have been posted by disparate staff members in various places, and there will be centralized place for this. Some have... views regarding this stuff that need to be dissuaded, and so I guess it is time to do this. The site's big enough, after all...

In this conversation with the staff, it is also possible in the future that all reputation gets reset. Maybe. Maybe not. It's an idea that is floating around.

We also get an email every time you hit the report button on a post. So if a love magic bot posted ten things and you reported all ten, that sends ten emails. That isn't really necessary, as we just go straight to the profile to flag them.

I had a news article after E3 where I was ripping into Little Orbit for not showing it at E3, but I never really finished it. They didn't show anything at E3 related to Birthright. They didn't even mention it. I consider it vaporware. Hell, at the Shadows of Self release, someone asked Brandon what he felt, and he felt it was vaporware because he hasn't played any of it.
