Wow. That... was really dumb of a headline. Perhaps the actual article is better because I've tended to like The Economist. But man... It's almost as if millennials as a generation (which is under many definitions more expansive than baby boomers) don't have a lot of money yet. Or! They realized diamonds are a TOTAL SCAM long ago and we are the first generation to say that crap is stupid and lab stuff is better.

Fantastic. Exactly what I wanted, I would have missed a lot of those. Seriously awesome work.

If this subforum exists obviously I would like to get every game.

Thanks. If anyone find others then please include links as well.

Other constitutional rights don't literally kill people. I see your point for sure and that is surely a legal issue (but hey I'm not a lawyer) but there is a pretty big practical distinction. You can regulate it, but the devil is in the details. -
Maybe paste the BBcode and before you post just add spoilers directly where relevant?
-
I am aware of this issue. It's complicated. Obviously it is not correct but nontrivial to fix.
-
I miss the BBCode editor too. I always typed in BBCode as well. However I have not generally found issues, but I don't generally use heavily formatted contents. The posts are very different in the new version now so I know this is unfortunate but there is nothing that can be done. I don't know what to tell you. I'm happy to look at a specific "glitching" thread. I've encountered no glitching personally. If you leave a page with contents in the editor box it does save it on that page which could be what you're referring to. EDIT: You can still paste in BBCode and it should render properly, but not edit in it because said Source view does not exist any more.

I would like a list of all forum games across the various boards so we can move them into this new sub board. That would help a lot so I don't miss some.
-
This can't be done due to the way the editor works now. This disappoints me as well. Sorry!

Moving to Entertainment Discussion.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

That would be entirely too rational to have sensible licensing for gun owners. Clearly that would be a conspiracy for Democrats and the government to talk all the guns. Because guns = freedom. (People actually think this.) Personally I don't think it is any problem to have licensing procedures and mandatory classes on gun usage to buy a gun. Anyone who passes said classes and licensing can get their guns for whatever purpose they like, while also educating people to not be dumb with them. And in some stuff restricting people with mental illness from having guns--for their safety and people around them--and that sounds astonishingly legal with the Second Amendment while also being, you know, reasonable. Guns should be at least as tedious to get as a driver's license... -
Well this isn't a democracy but it is being considered. Implementation details matter.

Google does it too. Can't comment on Apple. I think it's fine. I think they look better.

Guns and America are a very strange thing. Some people very much romanticize owning a gun. The issue is also insanely politicized and even the most minor regulations on guns, the NRA says would be a slippery slope on the government taking away their guns, which no one ever suggested in the first place. Total paranoia. This happens on things like universal background checks to buy guns, which are not a thing in the US. It is actually easier to buy a gun than get a driver's license. I could go to Walmart and buy a gun probably same day. I am not sure but I don't think my struggles with suicide would appear on any checks to buy it. That's genuinely terrifying. EDIT: As for hunting, hunters skin and deal with it all. They have to legally carry the carcass and stuff. Hunting is highly regulated. But generally they eat it I live in Montana so hunting is a normal thing. I have no problems with that as I believe you need to do classes to get hunting tags. -
Oh I understand, but also, meh, you'll live. As for sizing probably not. Mobile considerations and such.

This is so incredibly offensive to me. Screw macho d-bags like that. Macho masculinity has done so much harm to the world. Some people shouldn't own firearms. I'm one of them. It is a very bad idea for me to own firearms. Access to firearms in homes increases suicide risk by a lot. But macho men don't understand that suicide is a really huge part of gun violence, presumably because they do not understand how emotions or feelings work. Also, please, the power fantasy that you're going to defend your home or stop a mass shooting with your gun is irresponsible. Not only is it statistically unlikely for you to ever be in that situation, but when your adrenaline is that high in a situation like that, how good do they think their aim is? Probably not that great. Unless you are ex military or police, you probably have no idea how to shoot straight under insane stress. If your brother wants some masculinity I will happily punch him in the face repeatedly. I'm infuriated just hearing this. Screw people like that. -
You can futz around in Photoshop Some people's avatars disappeared y'know
-
I'm assuming the logical place for this would be as a subforum of General Discussion.
-
Thank you. As for the avatars, different strokes for different folks. The site has a lot of circles in the design so they fit, in my opinion, though are not without a bit of annoyance. I do generally think they are better this way.
-
Oh man I've missed so much on this thread. Sorry I've been sick, guys, and have done very little site work.
-
Depends on implementation, as some might prefer that things related to Brandon stuff be in Brandon related forums. I'm not opposed to it but would be interested to hear others' thoughts on it.
-
Incorrect board as this is for 17th Shard tech support. I am moving this to the General Brandon Board.
