I do like that the Emperor being dead mirrors the reveal at the end of tWoK that Honor is dead and has been for a long time. 

Another thing that the Wandersail story is very similar to is Szeth's struggle the first two books. He kills other people because it is commanded of him, then later discovers that he should have never been made Truthless, then feeling the guilt from all of his murders.

That’s true! He does flip out and self-destruct like the people in the story when confronted with it. 

On the moon story, there is that mural in Urithiru that Shallan found in the room with Cultivation and Honor depicted. This mural shows a blue humanoid floating and embracing a blue disc that seems like the moon. People speculate the blue person is the sibling, but who knows. 

The moons are also heavily featured in the Ishar endpaper, so people probably do associate the two, or did at some point.

I think people tend to discount the strength of storms in Shinovar and other western parts of Roshar.  Yes, it is clear that as the storm moves westward, its power decreases and that, in Shinovar especially, they are no longer such a destructive force that to be caught out in one is almost certain death.  But, they are still storms and there is no reason to suspect that they don't still have a significant destructive and even lethal potential.  They are not a gentle spring rain.

Brandon said that in Shinovar highstorms feel like storms here.  I've been in some pretty impressive storms in my time and there have been plenty of storms more powerful that I have not experienced.  And storms on the sea are nothing to spit at.  Especially in a world where the ships are designed short coastal hops, possibly like Mediterranean cultures had at the time of the Roman Empire.  They wouldn't have needed anything designed for extended sea voyages because they simply weren't done. 

That's not to say that Rosharran ships were not robust.  Indeed, I would expect they needed to be since they still needed to weather the storms even if they were in a somewhat sheltering cove.  But, Caligula's army marched all the way to northern Gaul (present day France) and didn't go further because the soldiers refused to get in the boats to cross the channel into Britain for fear of such a distant voyage and the potential for storms due to the season.

Does Roshar experience storms outside of the highstorms and the Weepings? And if so, how often would Shinovar get them?

So, the weather patterns are dominated by the highstorms. Non-highstorm storms are rare but do occur. The further to the west you get, the harder it is to tell the difference between a highstorm and a regular storm. Like, in Shinovar, a highstorm is just kind of like-- it feels like what a storm you might get here, or even weaker. But they do happen. They're gonna happen, most often you're going to notice them in the quote-unquote "summers," when the highstorms are further apart.

Would you guys be able to tell us the date each WtCC was submitted?  I know you're understandably backed up a bit, but with a date we can at least have an idea of when you'll get to the ones we submit.  I submitted one in July and am really excited to hear it on the podcast!  Thanks!

I submitted one around Dec./Jan. It got done on the recent 5 Scholars episode. So with that experience in mind, I'd say that you'll probably be waiting a while. However, that moment when they read out who the WTCC is from, and you hear your name is one of the hypest moments of the show.

When are you going to post the next Shardcast? I really love listening to it while I draw and I was sad that you didn't update last Friday like you usually do!
