Gray to he/him
I know this isn't possible, but I was rereading mistborn, and all I could think about was how what if Vin was trained by someone who didn't teach her how to trust? Someone who reinforced Reen's abuse? The first person who came to mind with that was Mraize and the Ghostbloods. So how do you guys think Vin would have turned out with that kind of environment?
Elegy he/him
Probably a lot like Zane. She saw herself in him, after all - the side that Kelsier tried to silence and that her and Elend together eventually succeeded to. Rhythm of War spoilers: Spoiler I think that this contrast shows that the Ghostblood as we've seen them are not really all that consistent with Kelsier's mentality. Fittingly, Brandon said that Roshar's Ghostbloods branch is "a bit removed" from him. Now there's another scenario that's interesting and that could have plausibly happened: What if Mraize was trained by Vin? +robardin he/him
This is kind of an ironic question to pose, actually, since Mraize was apparently trained by his master (babsk) Iyatil, who it seems was trained by "his master's master" in The Way of the Ghostbloods by Thaidakar himself.

Do we know how many further layers are between them? Iyatil's Master might be the "regional master" or whatever, of Roshar plus whatever lies close to there, i have no idea which Planet Silverlight is close to, for example.

True, the only clue about that we have is Mraize referring to Thaidakar as Iyatil's master... Which doesn't necesssarily mean "direct supervisor" master

She’d have still been willing to work with them for her own gain. Eventually she would have worked her way up and gotten to meet Thaidakar… Quote Spoiler Who would be rather shocked to discover his daughter was reborn on a foreign planet. Cue Kelsier re-adopting her and taking her under his wing. And Mraize getting a lesson ‘proper recruitment techniques.’ The problem with this question is that it creates a logical problem. Without Vin, the FE is never brought down, Kelsier remains trapped in the Well, and the GBs never exist. Assuming the above doesn’t occur, but somehow the events or Era 1 do, and Vin is a Mistborn, Thaidakar insists she be sent to him as soon as he learns she’s a Mistborn. He takes her under his wing. Vin is older and less trusting, but she also doesn’t have Ruin in her head. Kelsier has to undo some of the damage Mraize does, but he’s not adopting her, so he probably doesn’t think it’s as important that she learns trust and friendship. He does ensure that she’s loyal to him. She’s a lot less likely to call her boss out and a lot more willing to kill. She’s a lot less empathetic. She probably becomes an assassin and spy and one of the GBs better (best?) operatives. Eventually she starts recruiting and running her own team. That’s my guess, anyway.
