Channelknight Fadran Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 "Alright!" Ayia slid around Queen and gestured for her to stand. "Re-lax!"
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 "Thanks." Queen switched seats, staying as close to the chairs as possible.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 "That's what flying is." Ayia explained.
Mat he/him Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 "Like birds." Craven said. For the first time, he truly noticed the wings of the airplane. "We're in a giant bird."
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 "You know, we used to call ours that," Martin remarks. "There was a Peregrine, an Eagle flight, Sparrow..."
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 "Except, unlike birds, we aren't the ones in control of this flight and something in the machine could break down and we could plummet to a fiery death."
Mat he/him Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Craven pulled a face. He didn't like the sound of that.
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 "We aren't, the pilot is," Martin points out. "And say what I will about Nahl, anyone she trusts to fly this, that person is qualified."
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Quote Sooooo.... takeoff time?
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted February 10, 2022 Author Posted February 10, 2022 Quote Gotta do preflight checks first! Spoiler Just kidding. Martin instinctively reaches up to a cargo net that isn't there as the engine kicks up a notch, the noise getting louder. He quickly sits down instead, reaching for the straps as the plane begins moving forward.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Ayia slid her hand into Queen's: just in case. @DramaQueen
Mat he/him Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Craven looked around nervously, copying the way Martin did his seatbelt and grabbing onto the armrests.

Spren of Kindness she/her Posted February 11, 2022 Author Posted February 11, 2022 The plane begins moving, turning and then accelerating down the runway. Martin leans forward as best he can to see out the window.
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Queen, on the other hand, bends low over her legs, trying not to notice the movement.
Condensation she/her Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Andante patted Queen on the back. Quote Autocorrect thinks my character's name is either Snake or Sundance. 1
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Quote Oh yeah this exists Queen felt like she was going to puke.
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 Martin grabs the edge of his seat as the plane takes off, trying to breathe steadily. He's pretty sure he used to like flying, he just has to remember that they aren't going to an active combat zone. It'll be fine. He'll be fine.
Knight of Iron she/they Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Quote I think I'm going to tentatively officially leave this for now, sorry y'all.
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Quote Should we timeskip to landing or...? "I think I might puke," Queen said, her head still tucked low to her knees.
Condensation she/her Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 "Yeah, please just don't." Andante called out to the front, "Are we going to land soon?"
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted March 22, 2022 Author Posted March 22, 2022 Quote Timeskip, yes. "Martin, tell your no-fly friends what to do for descent!" Nahl yells. Martin nods, leaning forward again so he can see out the window. The ground outside rolls in pale green waves. "If you swallow, your ears will clear," he advises, not sure if all of them know what about that. "Almost there, Queen," he adds.
DramaQueen she/he/neopronouns Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Queen swallowed hard. Her ears did clear, as did the bile that had been building up in the back of her throat.
