The Night Watcher Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 I guess what I'm asking is whether the Shard is bound or if the host is.
Honorless he/him Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) 39 minutes ago, The Night Watcher said: Is Odium exempt from his agreement with Dalinar now that the Shard's host is replaced? I guess what I'm asking is whether the Shard is bound or if the host is. The Shard itself is bound by its word. Taravangian is still bound by his predecessor's agreements, we see that when he thinks back to Rayse's failures in trying to maneuvre Dalinar and finding a loophole to edit Hoid's memories. AquaRegia he/him Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 I think he explicitly says that he is bound by all previous agreements, does he not? I'm at work, so I can't look it up LOL Also: link to a similar recent topic (different "deal", but same arguments):
LewsTherinTelescope Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 RoW 114: Quote Storms, Dalinar and Odium’s contract—which bound Taravangian just as soundly—would do that already.
Chaos he/him Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Hi, please be careful with spoilers in topic titles. They can appear on member profiles and a bunch of other places, and this was a pretty big spoiler so I adjusted your topic title a bit. I hope you do not mind.
