I've been a fan of Sanderson's work since I read the first Mistborn trilogy years ago, but it wasn't until this year that I finally read all the Cosmere books. I found Elantris kinda boring, I only cared for Sarene and I found the plot a little underwhelming. However I think that's the only book from the Cosmere that I didn't like and I don't consider Elantris to be a bad book, just not my cup of tea.

There's going to be a strange jump in quality moving on from Elantris to Elantris 2, haha. I like all the tropes of mysterious places, so I was quite disappointed with Elantris, though I understand that demystification was integral to the plot but still feels like a missed opportunity to me. But it was my first book into cosmere and I am glad that I liked it enough to continue my journey into mistborn which then made me a fan. And SA made me join the shard. Most favourite and least favourite character? 1

My favorite character is Shallan (which I consider to be a unpopular opinion), I just love her journey as a character and how flawed she is. I really hate Moash (who doesn't) but I like him as a villain. I struggle to get through the Kaladin chapters in TWoK but I like him in the other books. Maybe Hrathen?? I think Hrathen is my least favorite character now that I think about it lol. 1

Among the main characters, yeah alongside Ais the Trackt from White Sand, Hrathen is among my least favourite major characters too. 1
