"Oh, sounds fun! What's trying to eat us?"

Snowy bounded up. “I’m Snowy, let’s be friends! Also what your name?”

Wind showed up again but with a ton of sticks in his mouth. “Guys look what I found! Enough sticks for us all to play fetch and scratch!”

Phaedrus's head shot up.

"The Wardens... they are here?"

“WARDENS? WHOA I WANNA MEET THEM!” Emi shouted

“Oh, okay.” Emi shut her mouth up immediately.

Phaedrus motioned for all the kippies to sit down; the Wardens weren't likely to chastise children, but showing respect was a skill that they could learn early. She sat down herself, bowing her head down and curling her tail up behind her.

A mighty swoop could be heard in the distance. Great thumps of massive wings beating against the wind.

"Dang, that's a massive gecko," Cavalier whispered to himself.

A dragon, head almost as big as all of Phaedrus, swooped up before the nesting place, wings sending massive gusts that put the snow into a blizzard.

"Rise, young mother. You have seen Ironclads?"

"They were here. They threatened my kippies."

"Were they a rogue group, perhaps?"

"They said they would return in greater numbers."

The Warden grumbled. "Then we must summon the Guardians."

Snowy gaped at the massive dragon. He bounced up and down, feeling goodness radiate from the being.

“What if they’re me? That’d be fun.”

"I'm afraid that neither of you are the Guardians, young kippies," Phaedrus said, keeping her eye on the Warden.

"I already informed the Guardians, sir," puffs Xasah.

Quincelin hadn't met this dragon yet, but she thought it would probably be a good idea to obey.

"Without a doubt. We cannot go by halves if the ironclads have truly crept their way into our realm."

"Why don't they just stay away?!"

"The Ironclads will never cease reaping a land for its stones and metals. This mountain range and Pinton are the only two safe places left for dragons and kippies."

Very nice lore talk... "reaping a land for its stones and metals".

"Ironclads can kill them, probably. They're pretty powerful."
