LordFlea Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 As the title says. We know that entities on Roshar (and maybe in the system too) are changed by how humans and singers think and feel about them. This leaves a lot of room for something based around the three moons of Roshar. There is a lot of in world lore on Roshar personifying the moons in their myths and It would be cool IMO if Brandon used this as a fey setting, but just spit balling there. If they were entities I would imagine forces of nature similar to scope and power of the Storm Father, but I feel as if this were the case, there would be tangible mentions in the book and they would have more agency in the story (unless arc 2?). Thought?
+Invocation Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I certainly hope there's spren of the moons! And I kind of hope they've got something to do with balancing those storming strange orbit patterns, too, because they're way too close to Roshar. I wonder if they're kind of like Cuisicesh (I hope I spelled that right) - not quite Bondsmith spren, but greater spren all the same.
Aspiring Writer Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Well, do planets have spren? Because as of yet, I don't think we have seen them.
Honorless he/him Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) It's possible that they do, but wouldn't it be more likely that they'd be represented in Shadesmar within a (tiny, as there are no minds there) area rather than as spren. I think some people theorized the moons are manifested in Shadesmar as the three Nexuses, though that would imply there's something big about the moons. *Cusicesh People have theorised about the possibility of a spren of Roshar. Candidates have included the Sibling (disqualified as Urithiru itself was created during the Silver Kingdoms epoch, the Sibling probably does not predate the Tower-city), Cusicesh the Protector, Ba-Ado-Mishram (yes, her), etc. Edited December 6, 2020 by Honorless
