Goodbye! So did Rosalie just get murdered, then.

Or was she ever really with us

Well, she really was always just halfways. Gal did interact with her, but not all too much. It's better this way, since now there's almost no risk of revealing Gal's identity as a Wanderer against his wish.

You sure about that?

Orpheus sighed. Couldn't he just get a good night's rest?

"Nope," Orpheus said, and with finality shut his eyes, trying to block the demon out. Orpheus could almost sense Zanidar thinking deeply.

Gal returned to the others, noting they seemed to stop for the night. he got a sleeping bag out of a portion of his backpack he didn't open before, then left it at that, approaching Valzwyn with his notebook.

"Are you fine with experimenting now, or would you prefer to sleep?" He asks.

@Channelknight Fadran?

Here.

"They really aren't all that dangerous," Talnic said. At just that moment, the sun finally dipped below the horizon, leaving behind only a residual glow. He took off his hat and leaned forward conspiratorially. "You see, all you have to do to not get killed by one is to not try and kill it. That's how I got this." He pulled off a glove, and held up his hand, showing Minuet his ring. "This was given to me by a dragon." Talnic quickly pulled the glove back on, covering the ring once again.

The light from the sun continued fading, and as it went, Talnic felt himself relax. He had always been the most comfortable under the cover of darkness. He didn't have to try as hard to hide.

Minuet nodded, intrigued by the ring. What interested her more, however, was the story of how this Shadow got it.

Forgot to quote you originally, so here it is again. Sorry for posting it twice.

Minuet nodded. "Was there anything else?"

Nope. Let's jump!

Hm... That was weird...

Talnic has nothing left to add to this conversation, so now would be a good time to skip forward to the morning.

Can we just time skip until morning? I don't think Fadran is going to reply back anytime soon.

I kind of wanted to question him more about Fumeweaving, but you are probably right.

We said it would take a month or more to get to the dragon, right? We may want to take this a week at a time.

Two months, actually. And this is probably a good idea.

Maybe we should run into a village?

I'm down for this, we'll have to do some improvising of the map though.

I think we'll just pretend I've been there  the whole time :P. Whenever someone has a 'villain scene' or something tag me. Also tag me when we have any scene :P

When I originally made the map, I had every intention of adding things, so just let me know what you want to be added. :)

Hmm... yeah, let's skip to the morning. If we ever really need something to do, Sir Nathaniel can always try a sneak attack. But I don't want to rely on him too much, since it seems like my story is taking prevalence when there are so many others that could.

Gal rose, immediately making sure his hat is still on. He then proceeded to sigh. He really wanted to make some more research, but he didn't find time. Well, maybe today he will have. And this group has many people that are magical!

This ringed in Gal's head, until he remembered from where it was familiar: when he went out from the Parliament, the Elders told him to be wary with whom he travels. They warned him against some kinds of people, including...

"Oh, no..." he mumbled, recalling the description: a group with many magic users, going on a dangerous quest with a prophecy, and usually have at least one noble blooded.

This description fit all too well to the group he travelled with. Apparently, they were adventurers.

And, of course, the reason to avoid adventurers was that they tend to get into troubles. Which happened twice yesterday.

"I'm an idiot." he mumbled.

Ara pulled herself up from the hard ground. This would take some getting used to. She rummaged through her pack with a metal clattering as her etchings bumped around. There. Ara pulled out the platinum plate she had been experimenting with, trying to keep it relatively concealed. In her homeland, mining was prevalent enough that this plate wasn’t cheap, but here it would probably be worth more than a whole house.

Then, Ara pulled out the diamond engraving pen she had stolen on her way out of Orius Keep. Ironically, that was worth less than the platinum. There was barely any diamond on it at all.
Then, Ara started to work, making shallow cuts in the metal, forming swirling, branching patterns like clouds and lightning. It took only a few minutes, and when she was done, she let out a sigh. Then, with great trepidation, she put her hand on the plate and began humming to the rhythm and notes Memory had shown her. As she did, the Inspiration Shalli had given her before their parting flowed down Ara’s arm and into the plate, which began to glow with a subtle, blue light.
Ara exclaimed, before quickly covering her mouth, hoping nobody had heard. It had worked! Notion responded to patterns. Patterns of human thought, patterns of etchings, patterns of the atomically structure of materials, of course it would respond to a pattern of sound! Ara quickly scooped up her equipment, putting it back in her bag, and began eating breakfast.

Minuet had risen early to conceal herself in the tree - the best spot for the element of surprise and a good place to look for pursuers. She gracefully made her way to the ground as the others began to rise.

Traige also woke up. He barely remembered the last few days’ events. In fact, he found he didn’t at all.

He rose and saw the others. He remembered them, yes, he remembered them.

Cara woke up feeling energized. She was with a new group of people who would all eventually become her friends. When she talked with The Shadow, he didn't seem to like her very much, but she would soon change that. She began planning exactly how as she brushed her long caramel hair. Cara knew that at times she could be...persuasive, but that felt like cheating. Besides, friendship was based on trust. How could someone trust you if you messed with their emotions? As she left her tent, Cara's only idea was to talk to him.

I just need to get to know him, Cara assured herself. By the end of the day, we'll be friends.

Cara wove between tents, searching for The Shadow.
