What are you talking about? Orpheus is having the time of his life getting his 10,000 steps in today!

Do you want Talnic to kill Triage or something? I could do that, but it seems unprecedented.

;)

We shouldn't have a dragon yet, we need to save that for the fulfillment of the quest...

Perhaps... Something else? Anyone have something from their past that can show up and cause some damage?

My uncle, although it might be a bit soon for that... but yeah, he'd work! Well, his soldiers, that is.

Okay...

Clattering and the sound of galloping hooves came from behind them and Minuet cursed. "Where can I hide?"

"What is it?" Orpheus whipped around.

"My - you know what, not important right now." Minuet whipped her head around, tying her hair up, and climbed into a tree. "Don't let them know I'm here!" she whispered loudly.

"What--are they dangerous?" Orpheus unsheathed his wicked hunting knife and ducked down.

"To me, maybe. If they don't know I'm with you then you'll be fine. Put the knife away."

Orpheus sheathes his knife and crosses his arms, glaring off at the incoming horses.

They pulled to a stop in front of the scattered group. "Excuse me, travelers!" called the one in the lead, who was the only one wearing full armor.

Orpheus was the only one directly nearby them, and he decided he needed to answer them.

"Who goes there?" he asked. A reasonable question.

"I am Sir Nathaniel and these are my troops! We are searching for a young woman, believed to have run away from an academy in (storms, I forgot the name)."

Zemel, I believe.

"There are multiple young women here. Anyone in particular?"

"Her name is Minuet, although she could be going by a number of names. She has bright red hair in ringlets and her eyes are green and blue, each one a different color."

Talnic dashed towards the sound of oncoming horses, leaving Triage behind him. He pulled to a stop beside Orpheus, resting a hand on the pommel of his sword.

"There is no one by that description here," Talnic said, standing tall. "You might try Zemel, however. Many travelers go in that direction." Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a faint flash of movement in the tree Minuet had disappeared into. A small puff of snow floated down. Thankfully, none of the riders seemed to have noticed.

If she wanted to remain hidden, Talnic wouldn't be the one to expose her.

Ara listened carefully to the conversation, trying to stay out of direct sight. There was little chance these people would recognize her, but it payed to be cautious.

Traige ran after Talnic, or Shadow, as he felt he should call the man. An insufferingly important looking man sat on a horse and was talking to Shadow. He skidded to a stop in the snow, noting how the girl- Traige didn’t know her name; he had thought it best not to check- had hidden as soon as the horses arrived. With a quick scan of the important-looking man, he learned that he was searching for his Lord's niece, Minuet. Another second revealed Minuet and the hidden girl to be one and the same. What else...

Connie, I’m gonna need something embarrassing in Minuet’s uncle’s knight's past... the stupider the better.

Not her uncle, her uncle's higher up. This is one of his knights. Her uncle's like a lord... at least, that's what he was originally. I can change it.

"Are you certain? There's a reward being offered."

Talnic sighed. "Yes, I'm quite sure. Unless you want me to give you fake information, which I am perfectly willing to do, although I don't see how that would help you at all."
