The others moved as a swarm over Trylle, their claws scrabbling at her flesh. Trylle would have let them - they couldn't harm her anyway - but it was annoying. She hissed again and began to throw them off.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 A deep growl came from above. With a thud, a much larger specimen dropped to the ground besides her.
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Trylle rolled her eyes. "Another? You do realise you can't do anything to me, right?"
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 The creature hissed again, revealing a pair of beyond-razor-sharp fangs. A drop of some sort of liquid fell off the tooth, leaving a scorch mark on the ground below.

That venom might actually be able to harm her... and her immunity buckled under fire.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "Not so confident now, are we?" hissed the larger creature.

Trylle smiled coldly. "I'm sure I could still easily escape. And if that doesn't work out, I'll just defeat you."
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 The creature laughed, fiery venom dripping from its fangs. "You think you can outspeed us? Here, in our home?"

xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 The creature chuckled. "Usually the penalty for trespassing on our territory is death," it hissed. "But your boldness amuses me. If you can outrace me, I will let you go."
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 The creature grinned. "Then you will suffer the fate of all whom we catch."
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "Works for me." Trylle shrugged, then set herself facing the direction she had explored. "Where to?"
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "Doesn't matter," hissed the creature.
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "I recall seeing a waterfall with large boulders at the base."
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "When I say 'Go'. Three... Two... One..."
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 With a snarl, the creature leapt at Trylle.
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 "Go!" Trylle took off just in time to avoid the glistening fangs, speeding toward the waterfall.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 The creature launched itself into the air, maneuvering with its wings at blinding speed.
Condensation she/her Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Trylle became all but invisible as she ran at blinding speed through the forest, able to focus individually on each leaf while dodging through the thick forest.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 The creature flowed through the forest, moving as though the trees and branches weren't even there. While Trylle may have been faster, the concentration expended on dodging gave the creature just enough of an edge to keep pace. It spat fiery venom in Trylle's direction.
