Harmony reaches Trylle, finally, huffing and puffing from the run. "What... what is that?"

"No idea - get out of the way!" Trylle shoved Harmony away and ran a couple of steps the other way, avoiding the golem's hand.

"Uh, ok." Harmony starts running out of the golem's reach. "Are you planning to fight that?"

"Maybe? If it attacks, I'll be the best one to defend against it." Trylle chose her words carefully.

The golem, seeing that its target was fleeing, decided to change tactics and go for Rekaerb instead.

"Ouch," said Rekaerb as the golem picked it up. "Has anyone ever told you you have a really tight grip? Maybe you need a stress toy or-"

The golem interrupted him by popping him into its mouth and swallowing him whole.

"Yeah, well I hope so, because I'm not going to try and take it down by wacking it with a violin bow, I don't think that's going to work!" Harmony starts taking her instrument out of her case.

She stops and screams

Oh gosh. I thought this thread was dead, so I was ignoring it. Shoot. Now to come up with a reason Geff has been missing.

Geff groaned. His entire body was aching. It took a lot to knock him out, but a building, and then a giant monster falling on him seemed to do the trick. He heaved a block of stone off of him self and stood up shakily. He slowly took a step and dusted off some stone chips. Feeling a bit stronger he made his way out of the now destroyed village. I wonder how they blew up a building like that he wondered. While Geff wasn't really a thinker, the unknown fascinated him and he began to ponder the possibilities. At the edge of the village he stopped for a moment to stretch. Feeling much better now, he looked over his surroundings. Just in time to see a Golem eat someone. "Well that can't be good" Geff said to himself. He started running up the hill to help "Hey, what's going on over there!" He shouted at the new girl who seemed to be fighting the Golem.

"Yes," said Rekaerb. "I would advise against getting caught by the golem. Survival chances do not seem high."

Oh right, he's the duplicating guy

She starts to scream again, and then realizes. "Oh right, you're the duplicating guy" She pulls out her violin and puts it to her chin. "So, are we fighting?"

Verdin stood. This was really not his fight. He wasn't trained to fight giant beasts of stone! As far as he knew two days ago, such a thing didn't exist. He prepared himself anyway.

"Hey, wait!" Trylle sighed and got ready to fight, but there was another person there - she couldn't show it to them! Harmony likely wouldn't tell, she seemed nice, but this person could. She didn't know them! She spun as she heard the odd person again, realising that he was the one who could make more of himself. "Okay... I'll fight it, but none of you can look."

Verdin gave a flat stare. "This had better work well," He said, and closed his eyes, as well as shielding them with his hand.

"That's a new one, but ok. Get ready..." Harmony starts to play a song, a fighting song that makes everyone that hears want to raise a sword to the heavens and go to war, a song that urges them to motion, to strength, and to courage. She closes her eyes and sends the song to Trylle.

The golem feels strange vibrations and turns towards Harmony, its interest piqued.

Ah, please don't

Connie, Trylle is going to feel energized, like she's just gotten up from the best sleep of her life and has spent hours or days doing everything possible to prepare for this fight (so you know, vampire things). If she gets hit, it's not going to hurt unless it's really bad (although she'll suffer the damage) and she's going to hit a lot harder.

Yes, certainly. Although she'd probably be holding back a little bit so that it would draw the fight out and the others wouldn't be as suspicious of her, so maybe it'd just crack it?

Trylle's thirst waned and she grinned, feeling an influx of power. Likely from the song Harmony was playing. She dropped her umbrella(now that the others weren't watching) and her skin gleamed in the sunlight. "Bring it on, monster!"

There was a loud crack as a onomatopoeically related process occurred to the golem's lower appendage.

The golem's eyes flashed red. It looked down at Trylle and roared.

The monster moved, its pace much slower than the agile Trylle.

It roared again, its eyes flickering.

"Either leave or fight me," Trylle challenged.
