Condensation she/her Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Quote Woo! I have now read this! Let me know if this causes problems. Name: Trylle(pronounced Trill) Appearance: Very beautiful, with dark circles under her eyes(which constantly fluctuate from deep black to topaz, depending on how thirsty she is). Her hair is dark chocolate and falls to her lower back. It's straight with a slight curl at the end. She's quite pale and her skin shimmers like diamonds in the sunlight. She's wearing a black blouse, black leggings, and a black skirt. She's barefoot. Personality: Friendly but secretive. She won't talk much or offer more than is needed, but if pressed she won't lie. She keeps to a strictly 'vegetarian' diet, only drinking the blood of animals(this is why her eyes are gold instead of crimson) because she's a 'good' vampire. She can control her impulses pretty well since she's a couple of decades old, but humans shouldn't be around her when she's hunting because of the state of mind required. Powers: This variation of vampire has super strength(although noticeably weakened from a 'newborn' state), super speed(both body and mind), immortality(the only way to kill them is to burn them), venom that causes extreme pain but if left for three days will turn the victim into a vampire, increased capacity for thought(not really important for this, but they easily remember things), and probably some other things I meant to mention but forgot. Oh, and she has a gift for resisting mental... anything. She can spread it over others, although it takes extreme concentration and tires her out mentally. Mind reading, illusions. That kind of thing. Anything purely physical isn't affected, however. Backstory: You don't need to know that yet... I know she might seem kind of OP, but she doesn't want to use her powers because it'll make her thirsty.

Flyingbooks Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 A spherical area of the air seems to ripple, and for a moment anybody looking could have seen a sky filled with stars. An object like a large, enclosed canoe with wing-like protrusions drops out of the hole, which soon disappears, and begins to fall. As it falls, a parachute opens, but it does not slow the fall quickly enough to save the ship. The wings break as they hit the ground. A person whose proportions are a bit too different to be human opens a panel in the ship’s side and steps out, carrying an iridescent cube with a dark aperture and several buttons. “Hello, my name is Erenshi. Where am I? This world looks different from any that I've ever seen." Noticing the dead, burned monster, Erenshi asks, "What is this creature? I've never seen anything like it.” Quote Erenshi is from a universe which I made up in which planets are the juvenile form of stars, stars & planets are much smaller than in reality, and minds create thought patterns in a sort-of-adjacent-dimensiony place, which can then affect the world when used by stars and later in history by machines. Normally, going close to a star alters your personality because stars throw out the causes from the bonds which they use to stay together as waste from the chemical/metaphysical reactions within it. The way that your personality changes depends on what the people or animals on the planet cooperated to get or achieve. However, as a star is about to go out, the shell of its core, which is infused with hopes, bursts open and releases them. This radiation makes anybody who is near the star at the time able to impose thought-patterns upon objects and even reality itself. All of the bonds and hopes within a star are typically similar because similar thought-patterns function better together, so stars are named after the attributes that they impart. (I am using "bonds" to refer to cooperative connections between people or animals for a certain goal and "hopes" to refer to what people or animals want to have happen in the world around them.) Erenshi currently has the Affect of Discovery, which gives them the powers to teleport to places which they have never been before (which is how they got here), understand new things (including unknown languages) very quickly, and . It also makes them very curious to the point of sometimes ignoring danger when there is something new and interesting. They also have a prototype of a device which replicates some of the functions of stars. It can absorb bonds and hopes, and when it has enough of similar types, it can send them out, having the same effect on people as a real star would. It also has some... experimental settings. 1
Condensation she/her Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Trylle woke up in the middle of a field. This in and of itself was odd, because she couldn't sleep. But what was more odd was the fact that she didn't recognize the field. She'd been all over the world, and yet this plant was utterly foreign to her. She shook her head, shoving ponderous thoughts like these out of her main focus, and quickly pulled out the umbrella she carried just in case something like this happened. Then she stood up, hoping that no one had seen the diamond-like shimmer of the sun on her skin. Looking around, she still could not find anything she recognized. "Hello?" she called, her bell-like voice ringing across a wide expanse. Quote I forgot to mention that my vampires have stone-cold skin. It's also practically as hard as stone.

It vaguely reminded her... of a time when she was human and had touched an active outlet. This took her about a second, and then she reacted in the same way she had when she'd touched the outlet: she pulled away, dropping the object, and shook her hand. "Ouch! What was that for?" When she considered it, she realised that enough amperage to affect her must have been a substantial amount, and her thirst grew with her anger, throat throbbing with dryness. She deliberately tamped it down. After all, she couldn't do that in the view of all of these people. Well - it wasn't all that many. It would be easy to - no. All those years spent resisting would not go to waste in this one moment.
