Hi team.

Names Dan, Englishman living in sunny NewZealand. Long time fan of Brandon’s. Haven’t read his young adult books (except skyward and starsight) but have devoured his other works.
Primarily listen to the audio books so I am also as big a fan of Michael Kramer and Kate reading haha.

I’ve just started listening to “Shardcast” podcast too

look forward to chatting to you all.

P.s this is my first forum experience

Welcome aboard! First forum experience, huh? Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it fast. A few essentials: the plus button beside quote allow you to quote multiple posts, you can report posts to the moderators by clicking the little flag icon above posts. You can follow, direct message, or see all activity of someone by visting their profile by clicking the blue buttons, in that order. Make sure all the content goes in the right forum. That's about it, I think.

Hi!
thanks for the welcome :)

I’ll do some skim reading whilst I’m at work.

as for favourite book of Sanderson... maybe words of radiance? I love the series but book 2 seemed to be the most exciting for me. Also memories of light, but I think that was more due to it being the epic conclusion to one of the greatest fantasy series ever :)

what about yourself?

Oathbringer, that ending with Dalinar was epic. I also really like the hero of the ages.
Fellow Wheel of time fan eh? Memories of light is a great book too, Mat was my favourite character by the end.
who is your favourite character in cosmere and WoT?

Welcome! If you have any other forum questions I'm happy to answer them. Cute profile pic!

Hello!! Id totally recommend the reckoners next time you're looking for a book to read (They are my favorite of the YA books). How were you first introduced to Sanderson?

I have to say that I’m a big Mat fan too, though I found him a bit OP with everything he was able to do. My favourite scene was him in the tower saving moiraine.
not sure about my favourite in the whole cosmere though, maybe lopen? His attitude makes every situation better. And I can relate to his inability to stop talking haha.

Hi I’ll have a read :)

id just finished ‘lies of Locke lamora’ and a friend shoved way of kings under my nose, calling me out for having not read it sooner. Hooked ever since.

By the way, the plus button in the corner of posts allows you to quote multiple people at once. The mods try to discourage double posting.

I gotta say this is one of the most wonderfully English intro's I've seen!! "G'day team. Names Dan, Englishman living in sunny NewZealand." Almost had to read in a British accent only :P

Love the puppers in the profile pic!! So much floof!

Would definitely take up @Hentient's suggestion if you are looking for some more Sanderson to read. Little less complex for the YA target but honestly really engaging nonetheless.  I also always have to recommend Alcatraz because I just think the way they are written is hilarious. YA yes but hilarious.

Look forward to chatting with you too. Welcome to the Shard! (And for you first forum experience you are doing quite well :))
