Ok, I said I wasn't going to join this, and I'm not completely convinced...yet. However, Fadran, your character is so storming funny and way different from the rest of your characters and I am very close to joining this just so that I can interact with Aerith. I may or may not have upvoted (I think?) all of your posts on this page just because I keep laughing at Aerith's comments.

:) Also it's going to be really fun. Even if you're just a minor character, we'd love to have you.

Chorale slipped out of the inn, looking back down the alleyway as she walked past. Sure enough, they were still standing there. She smirked, then walked to the largest building. In settlements like this, the biggest house often belonged to the one in charge. She knocked on the side door.

Can my character be the one to answer the door? I have an idea of what she'll be, but only a little...

Of course! Just remember, this is the home of the person in charge of the settlement, so you have to be connected to them in some way. You should probably also have green or black eyes.

Valerie took a deep breath. "Will whoever's holding my leg here let me go?" By now she was just annoyed. She had places to be.

Hmmmmmm then I think I'll wait. I want her to have purple eyes. She's going to be really sassy, and for some reason, I consider purple to be the ultimate sassy color.

Well, she could be a person who's come in a giant caravan or something for market day.

A woman in a white, dusty, threadbare apron answered the door. "Yes?" she asked tiredly.

"Hello, I'm Chorale. I'm here to see the master of the house."

"Not just any--" The woman realized what Chorale had said her name was. "Please, come in." She led Chorale to a nice sitting room, then she bustled out. About a minute later, a fat man in a suit walked in, sweating profusely. "Hello, you must be Miss Chorale."

"Yes," answered Chorale. She didn't really believe in wasting words.

"You've come to take care of our problem?" asked the man.

"Yes," said Chorale. Would he just get on with it already?

"Well, then--if I may ask--why are you here? I hope not for a room," said the man, chuckling nervously.

"No. I wanted to know more about your problem."

"Well, you understand, I wouldn't really know. You'd be better off asking the wall guard, they're the ones who have seen it."

Chorale nodded sharply. "Thank you. I'll see myself out." Bureaucrats. And she walked back through the house and out the side door.

As Chorale wove through the crowd toward the gates, she bumped into someone.

I’d like to be an Amal! I’ll brainstorm character ideas in the PM, too tired to do it alone.

Same questions as DramaQueen, I’d like to be added too.

Apparently.

If I try and wake Condensation up, she'll probably hit me or something. She's grumpy if you wake her up, so I'll just leave her alone. I might subtly send songs from our echo dot to the other echo dot in her room and blame it on the cat or something.

Well, that plan won't work if you literally posted it on her thread.

Name: Ativa

Age/gender/species: 13, female, phoenix Amal

Appearance: Shoulder-length black hair, brown eyes

Amalgamation: Phoenix, Scald - wounds seal with fire within a minute

Personality: Jaded, angry, reckless firebrand (:P)

Backstory: Raised by the Talon, doesn't know what to think of their methods but (rightfully) hates humans for having mistreated her in the past

Am I allowed to make up cultural stuff about the Amal?

Ativa stumbled as someone knocked against her. "Hey, kisteah, watch it," she snapped, glancing up.

Either she's immune to noise or she's the most stubborn person on the planet.

The second one. I was awake when she played it, but I don't get out of bed until I want to.

There wasn't a PM, but there is now.

Chorale looked back at the person she had bumped into with a neutral expression. "What was that?" she asked.

May I be added to the PM?

"I said watch it, human." She rolled her eyes and smiled tightly.

There wasn't a PM until like a minute ago! Yes, you were the first person I added.

Get trapped!

Surely Concerto's Amals wouldn't be this obvious, thought Chorale. But it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up. Her eyes glowed and she created a bubble of white light around the Amal, trying not to draw too much attention to herself, but it didn't work. Her energy bubble's light drew eyes like moths to flame. I should have known that wouldn't work, she thought, mentally smacking herself.

Aerith gestures at this person. "See, this is what I mean by amals who like attacking people."
