No it's not! Your art is amazing! Listen, just because rev and Emi can draw like nobody's business doesn't mean that your art isn't good!

...

Fine.

Ellis stepped outside the tent, breathing in the morning air.

:)

Melody ran past him, splashing in the puddles on her way to the makeshift firepit. "It's a beautiful morning!!!" She yelled.

"It's also cold. Does anyone have matches?"

"Nope! But I can make it feel warm, if you want."

Hon, be confident in yourself. Hating yourself in your skills will get you nowhere, speaking from personal experience. Keep at it, have a good attitude, and you'll be amazing, my dude.

Hey, I don't hate my art! I just don't like claiming it's good, because I don't really work to improve it and I don't want to seem like all the legitimately good artists are lazy or something.

"Why makes something feel warm when you could have an actual fire instead?"

"I don't know, maybe because it'll be faster?"

I get that. Just be more confident, no matter what you do with it or how you think of it. You'll feel better about it when you keep a good attitude about it. Don't think of other artist and how frickn amazing they are, but focus on yourself when you need to. It's okay to reference them and it's okay to admit that you fall short of some things heh, I'm not the best at not comparing myself to others then getting upset with myself which turns to me harming myself, but just learn to be okay with it. You'll find that you have a better time like that.

I kinda had that figured out already but thanks anyways!

Ellis looked over at Q's tent, wondering if she was up yet.

Ellis shook his head. "And you call yourself a camper. You can't enjoy a fire if you didn't put in the work to make it!"

Melody sighed. "No, not permanently! It's just using what I have! Y'know, until the campfire's actually made?"

Ellis looked over at Q's tent, wondering if she was up yet.

Q wasn't in her tent, but she already seemed to be out in a nearby clearing, practicing her sword stances. She hadn't noticed them just yet as she was calming thrusting her sword in the air with quick jabs. She hardly broke a sweat as she moved from one foot to the other, changing stances as if it were just walking. She looked to be laser focused on her task, not paying attention to what the others were doing. She moved like a soft rain falling down: quiet, yet piercing at the same time.

"Fine. Go ahead."

Melody grinned, then a sense of heat filled the air. She'd already been doing it for herself, but it'd help the others.

Q barely took notice of him, only glancing at him for a second before returning to her exercises. It seemed like the silvery blade was... a part of her. It didn't seem like a weapon, but rather an extra limb for her to use. The blade glowed softly as it seemed to channel her emotions, washing her face with a soft blue light. When she gave a thrust, it followed her movements, glowing a bit brighter as she did so. It was almost... unreal of what she was doing. It was as if she was dancing, but was missing her partner.

Ellis frowned. Did he... recognize that kind of training? He unbuckled his sheath, pulling out his own sword. "Is it... alright if I join you?"

It took a moment for her to pause, then look at him. Consideration flashed in her eyes, but she slowly nodded. "Do you want to start at the beginning, or go off of what I was doing?" she asked, remaining in the paused position.

She nodded, falling out of her paused position. She brought her feet together, bringing her glowing blade up to be mere inches away from her face.

Ellis did the same; he decided to try to mirror her movements at first, as he couldn't exactly remember the steps to this training exercise. It'd probably come back to him as he was doing it.

Gerald watched the swordfighting, blinking the sleep from his eyes.

"Are you going to join them?" he asked Melody.

"Who, me? I can barely hold the dang thing!" Melody smiled. "Nope, not for me. Want to help rustle up some breakfast?"

Q noticed him first struggling, then slowed a bit. "Would you like some help, or are you good?" she asked, still doing the exercise.
