He raised an eyebrow, then held up a waiting finger.  It was silent for a moment, but then a young boy skittered up.  "Yes, I can take that to the front desk for you," he said, as though he'd been part of a conversation that she hadn't been able to hear.

The boy, a red haired, freckled child with glasses, sauntered along until he came to the office.  He gaped at Trace, as if he wasn't sure if he should laugh at her getup or not.  Was it a costume?  Or was it some intimidating thing?  She was shorter than him, at least, but he wasn't sure if she could hit him hard if he laughed.  And if the principal had something to do with this, he shouldn't get involved.  "There's a pass here for- for her, I guess?" Corwin said, gesturing at Janice.

((All my NPCs are characters with depth.  This is the boy who fought Cadenza earlier.  Depending, my NPCs can have small or large roles.))
