The inside of the train is made for utility, not comfort. The seats are a kind of cloth that is easy to clean, although there are still stains in a few places. A few people stand rather than sit, holding onto handholds attached to the walls or ceiling, even though there are seats. Signs encourage people to be on the lookout for Yevon or wild animals as they enter the woods, and report any suspicious activity to the police or a local Guardian.

There are people here from all walks of life. There are still tourists from Halcyon, wide eyed and still shaken; some hunters from the outer settlements, weathered and carrying their wares and weapons; city folk heading home from work, and even a few Dusters who seem to be on assignment, going over a plan between them, with their weapons sheathed.

Cadenza looked around, her eyes taking in the crowd as she tried unsuccessfully to keep a smile from reaching her face.

Janice scans the compartment, careful to keep her face hidden from the Dusters.

With a jolt of acceleration, the train starts. Jay settles  into a seat and closes his eyes

Cadenza is pressed into the seat as the train starts and looks out the window at the scenery zipping by.

"I am relaxed," she whispers, then realizes that she is not, in fact, relaxed. She carefully lets out a breath, settling herself into her chair.

We're passing through the Farwind Forest District, we'll arrive at Fort Corefinder within 45 minutes. Next stop after that is the capital city, Premier.

Jay puts his hood behind his head as a bit of a pillow as the train delves into the trees.

Lloyd walks up to the dusters. “Hello fellow dusters, what or who are you looking for?”

They all look at you. One of them, a girl with short hair, a cap pulled over her head, and a shield slung over her back, says "Um, we were assigned to patrol the woods outside of Clearview. They've had some Yevon attacks recently. Do we know you?"

Janice's breathing turns shallow, and she has to force herself to act normal. On a train, unfortunately, there weren't many places for someone to hide.

Kane wore red on the day he was to board a train.

Soaring at about three thousand feet, on wings made of vortex, a bright red coat was probably not the smartest decision.

He didn't care.

Red to stand out.

Red to make a statement.

Red to drive his brother nuts.

He turned to the two special ops guys beside him, dressed in black. Black armor, black helmets, black boots. Standard uniforms were boring. And it's not like anyone would punish him for his taste in fashion. Certain perks came with being family with Yin.

"How close are we to the drop point?" He asked one of the ops guys.

The man pointed downwards.

There the train was. Turns out their informant wasn't a total liar after all.

Kane's metallic wings folded backwards, and he shot towards the train. His men followed. 

He pulled out his gun, custom made of course, and got ready. Three. Two. One. He crashed through the window, and pulled his gun out, ears listening for the click of a hammer.

"Get on the ground, the Talon has business here!"

Jay reacted with what would have been lightning speed normally, but his leg threw him off too much. Instead of pushing Janice and Aryanna down and rushing the man who just dived in, he fell on the floor in a very undignified fashion.

The Dusters Lloyd was talking to draw their weapons and move to get between civilians and the stranger.

Janice yelped, whipping her dagger out of her boot and grasping it in both hands, guarding herself and Aryanna.
