Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 I’m kind-of a good runner. I’m definitely not better than most kids at my school, but I am ok. I’m a good sprinter though. . .
Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 Just competed in the first meet of the season today! It was 3.1 miles, and I got 22:18 for my time. But man, that course was weird. I had no idea where I was half the time, and the majority of the course went uphill. Pretty much everybody in the race was struggling near the end, there were these three hills right before the finish line that kinda sucked the life out of everyone. On the bright side, it was very scenic!

Experience he/him Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 You guys are lucky. My season was pushed back all the way to January.

Experience he/him Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 No, I live in Southern California, so no snow. Ever.

Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 . . . I haven’t started school yet. . . So season hasn’t started yet. . . I don’t know if you will do soccer or Cross-Country this year.
Mat he/him Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 I PR'd in my 3 mile/5k run today! 26:50! Yay!
Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 What is your time, @Condensation?
Condensation she/her Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 For a 5k? 28 something, pretty sure.

Like 27:40, but that was mostly a fluke when my average time was more in the 30-35 range. Now I can tell I'm actually improving; my times had been steadily improving. But this is a decent jump.
Condensation she/her Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Cool! That's a really good time.
Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 That’s amazing! Nice job! I hope I can do that in. . . Twenty years. . . Well done, Matrim!

Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 2nd meet of the season today, ran on a very familiar course (one I’ve run twice every year since 3rd grade), but the heat just cut down my time, so I only got 7 seconds faster than last meet. Still a good race, but hopefully I’ll do better next week (supposed to be very flat and in the morning, so I’m looking to PR)
