Karger he/him Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Lift is one of the few people who just thinks Szeth is just a rando weird guy and treats him as such. Most people are terrified of Szeth or want to use him. Lift thinks he is a bit odd but is generally cool with him being how he is.

Even if they didn't actually meet, he would probably be aware of what happened with Nale. Most likely he was acknowledging her role in that. 1

Yes they met and talked on the balcony after the two Skybreakers flew off to go get killed. Nightblood senses her and told Szeth she was hiding nearby. 1

SecondPlace he/him Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Szeth lifted nightblood out of the sheath to test Lift. If someone with a pure heart sees Nightblood they will feel terrible nausea. He left because he decided that she was a good person. 1

We know we'll be seeing a lot more of Szeth, Lift and Nightblood. Ash and Taln are more of a tragic romance. Spoiler Not really seeing an odd couple dynamic here. Just two worthy opponents on opposite sides of a bitter war.

No, she knows who he is - they'd met before, in Yeddaw, as depicted in Edgedancer. She also immediately recognized Glowing Afterimage Szeth, Bald Shin Guy With a Shardblade, as the starvin' Assassin In White!. So she definitely would recognize him again at Thaylen Fields. That said, it's true that she interacts with Szeth the most normally, because she's Lift.
