Trutharchivist he/him Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 For some time. Then quarantine happened. At least, I think this was what convinced me to actually join. I explained why I joined far too many times, IMO, so I'll spare you the details. Do you think next year will be more active?
Eluvianii he/him Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Honestly? No. Going by numbers most people go straight into inactivity after joining. Those who are active also have a good chance of stepping away after one or two years. There's very few people that I saw around when I joined that I still see today. We're mostly on a rotation really. So without substantially more people I kinda doubt the downtimes will disappear. Is summer kind where you live?
Trutharchivist he/him Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 Israel, so... No. I suffer from Atopic Dermatitis, which gets worse with heat and sweat, and the Israeli summer sun does not spare me. Though my brother can't stand summers here at all without having any similar health issues. Half our land is desert, too (and we don't have much land). Also, I see your point, but take into account publication of new Sanderson content. It raises activity from generally inactive users, I believe, plus encourages people to join. Do you read fanfiction?
2EmLee2 Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 As of today, yea have you ever written using a text-generating AI? If so, which one did you use?
EmulatonStromenkiin he/him Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 nope, my brain spouts enough nonsense as is. How can we get more people active?
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Show them the community forum. How do you draw?
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 By putting in lines and shadows until it looks sort of like what I had in mind. If given a piece of fabric, would you make a cape?
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 I do! That doesn't mean I'm good at it though How do you like to get focused?
Eluvianii he/him Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 I wish I had a reliable method. Sometimes putting on some music that's easy to ignore and doing the task for a few minutes does the trick. Like, I have to actually get invested on it. But it just happens sometimes and others I just waste an entire afternoon procrastinating as I try to get focused. Do you have a passion?
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 I have a few, but most recently I rediscovered my love for biking, long distances. Do you like learning new things?
fuzzyairplant Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 I love it, as long as it's on my own terms (aka outside of school). Bonus points if it's a creative skill (like knitting). What would your ideal vacation look like?
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 A week in the mountains, or forest, with my friends. What is the most unusual flavor combination you've ever encountered?
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Strangest I can remember right now is lemon and lime ice cream. Why do people swear so much?
Robin Sedai she/her Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 (edited) 1. Because it's a good way to release pressure without hurting anyone. For example, today I panicked about something, and I think swearing to myself helped me calm down. 2. I almost never use swearwords as intensifiers, but when I do it's fun. 3. When a Precision F-Strike is used, it can add a lot of emphasis to a sentence. (Warning: very sweary TV Tropes link) After you die, how do you want your body disposed of? (burial, cremation, etc.) Edited August 18, 2022 by Robin Sedai
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Burial. I wouldn't want a viewing, either. Embalmed corpses are creepy. Have you ever gone out on the water in a square-rigged ship?
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 No, but I would like to and a triangular-rigged ship. Have you ever had a pet lay on you?
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Yes, but as I am allergic to cats and dogs I was sneezing and hurting the whole day Do you feel integrated as a person?
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I think so. Have you ever been smacked around in a video game by a monster?
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I have not. What does 'integrated as a person' mean?
Going_North_cal Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I don't have the slightest idea! In 5 words or less, describe SCP-096, please?
Trutharchivist he/him Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I know nothing of it. Should I try to read the SCP Foundation stuff?
Going_North_cal Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 Yes, it's actually quite interesting. In 5 words or less, describe SCP-008.

It means basically when someone accept/processes their emotions to be more united internally and to feel more comfy in their own skin so they can be the same "them" in different contexts (family, friends ect.) 2 hours ago, CalanoCorvus said: In 5 words or less, describe SCP-008. SymphonianBookworm she/her Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 (edited) Turquoise, if that counts. Have you ever walked into a sign/pole/something of the sort? Edited August 19, 2022 by SymphonianBookworm
