Why did you originally join the Shard?

Because I'd lurked for a while and knew it was a cool place, and I wanted to talk to other English speaking people.

What was your first impression of the Shard?

[Eluvianii he/him]

Being scared of entering any subforum. I had only one book behind me so everything was a spoiler. I didn't start living in the community section until like a year or two later either so it all felt like a place where hardcore theorists could eat me alive for my lack of knowledge.

There was this one tweet along the lines of "My friend is reading TFE and they're suffering" and I was like what kind of cruel author is this? In the end his books were a lot less depressing and more adventurous and animeish? than I was expecting but I regret nothing.
