RaidenKaminari he/him Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) I have been a Sanderson fan since I first picked up Mistborn way back in 2006. I have read pretty much everything except for White Sand, although I'm a big fan of comics/graphic novels so I do plan on reading it eventually. First time poster, long time lurker, but decided to finally make an account because I noticed a funny typo while reading Way of Kings Prime and wanted to know if anyone else had caught it. Chapter 11, Page 96, towards the bottom of the page: "Thank about this: your pretty Tethren...". Its small and an easy mistake to make, but it caught my eye. Edited July 11, 2020 by RaidenKaminari 1
Honorless he/him Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) Welcome to the Shard! Yeah, the unpublished works are full of typos, word repetition and redundancies, grammatical errors, weird turns of phrase, words that don't quite fit with what the author wants to convey, etc. They can be a bit difficult to get through for people who are sensitive to these things. Dragon314 he/him Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 I'm enjoying the PFP. What's your favorite Tyler album?

But right now I would probably say Shadows of Self. Mistborn was the series that introduced me to the cosmere so I've always been partial to those books, and I love Era 2 for some of the new places they take allomancy and feruchemy. Additionally the twists in SoS were so well done and evoked more emotion in me than I ever would have anticipated 2

Favorite Tyler album is also a hard thing to decide for me. While I'm a massive fan of Wolf I would probably have to say IGOR. His musical evolution throughout his career has been incredible to watch and this most recent album was truly a work of art. 2

I think whats surprising to me is how much I love the stuff that's the same rather than the things that are different haha Its so interesting to see the early conception of ideas or characters that we have now seen fully formed and fleshed out over several books 1
Wyndlerunner he/him Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Welcome to the Shard my friend! Just to let you know, the mods don't particularly like double posting (posting more than once in a row). Also, that wouldn't happen to be a My Hero Academia reference in your username would it?

Thank you for the tip! Since I was replying to other posts I didn't really know how else to do it, but I'll keep that in mind. And yes it partially is! I've always loved anime and manga and characters with electric or lightning abilities were always my favorite
