Numbers!

You are naming numbers.

You know. Like latin. Unus, duo, tres, etc. Except it can't be latin 'cause this is 100% high fantasy with 0% romans.

Everything is base-12, so I need numbers 1 through 12. Please dump tons of suggestions though so I can sort through the ones I like and make sure they work aesthetically.

Understood!!

So twelve names, to mean numbers, for a base 12 fantasy system???

GOT IT.

Am I allowed to make it sound similar, like so many languages on earth have it like?

Nice. I'll do 5 per number.

One: Oen, On, Ue, Aene, Uine

Two: Toh, Tuho, Deoh, Doeh, Twih

Three: Thri, Threi, Thui, Tris, Trosi

Four: Furr, Fori, Phuro, Furi, Fior

Five: Fiev, Fevo, Phiv, Feiv, Fivi

Six: Sio, Siox, Sixu, Soxo, Sioxi

Seven: Sevna, Senvi, Sivan, Siavin, Sovian

Eight: Oight, Eit, Eiht, Heht, Hight

Nine: Nin, Nen, Noni, Nino, Niono

Ten: Tien, Tein, Toen, Tonn, Tineo

Eleven: Elvin, Elivin, Elivon, Ellvon, Elvunn

Twelve: Twulv, Twolvi, Twili, Twillv, Twalivi.

They're trash, I know. Numbers are hard. Hope these provide good inspiration though!

Well, you have day seasons right?

So it could be like in groups of fours within the twelves, so

(I don't know what order the cycle goes, so I'll give one of each element for every number) One: Krist, Floe, Illel, Grun,

Two: Craut, Felis, Ilfa, Dorn,

Three: Crinth, Swint, Ipin, Traunt,

Four: Venka, Rinva, Lifin, Evdar,

Five: Vake, Yis, Enor, Tekdo,

Six: Cren, Sors, Lile, Gren,

Seven: Filt, Slinda, Isin, Eka,

Eight: Krot, Fina, Esu, Gauth,

Nine: Crix, Ren, Ilif, Dauk,

Ten: Ven, Sener, Lel, Kev,

Eleven: Krinot, Lers, Ipef, Tekev,

Twelve: Crentar, Sorsin, Lilefi, Grenka.

One: Cor.

Also apparently I still have this saved, so Coni here's your reminder, two years later.

I'm good at time management.

Hey, someone should remind me about this eventually so I'll do a reread. Not yet(no time rn) but eventually.

Three: Del

Places are conjoined with 'i': a three in the twelves place and a two in the ones place would be Delieth

Four: Nel (or Nol, but I like Nel better bc it fits w/ Del better)

And 131 would be coridelicor

For convenience the digits can be capitalized, like so: CoriDeliCor

Actually, it's base 12, so it would be (10)i(11)

10 = Kruth

11 = Ved

So, KruthiVed

Very sorry, but I'm retconning all of your guys' epic ideas because I just came up with the best way to name my numbers:

  • 1: Ine
  • 2: Kugi
  • 3: Satu
  • 4: Taka
  • 5: Ern
  • 7: Saita
  • 8: Mang
  • 9: Leio
  • (10): Tanjo
  • (11): Reye
  • (12): Saun

If you can figure out my system I'll share my extra chapters with you
