Vora cautiously stepped out into the sunlight, glancing around. There didn't seem to be any immediate danger, so she continued moving forward... and the world suddenly twisted around her, fading out to a featureless void.

After what felt like an eternity, sensation suddenly returned to her as she appeared several feet in the air in an even more unfamiliar place. She tried to break her fall, but her limbs felt sluggish, and she felt her nose crack painfully as she impacted the ground. Crawling to a crouched position, she wiped blood from her face as her injuries began rapidly healing and glanced warily out at the unfamiliar faces nearby. "Pardon, but would one of ya mind tellin' me where in the name of anythin' holy this is?"

"Geeze, are you okay?" Fadran tore his gaze away from the map and ran over to her.

Vora waved him off. "I've had worse rollin' outta bed. I tend ta patch up pretty quick, anyways."

She stood up slowly, pulling herself up to her full tiny stature as feeling gradually returned to her limbs.

"Nice place ya got here," she commented idly.

"Any information we can gather will be vital!"

"Part of my Starbound powers include the ability to communicate telepathically with animals and kind of look through their mind, and I was thinking that if we were able to somehow capture a semi-important person within the evil-empire's command structure, I may be able to do do the same with them and gather some info that may aid us in our quest. Though, if anyone was important enough to have any useful information, they likely will have measures preventing mind invasion, and that's not even counting the possibilities of even kidnapping the person or my ability to do the actual mind invasion in the first place, considering animal minds are vastly different than sapient beings... Like I said, not the most solid plan- unless someone else here has some sort of telepathy, then it'd have a better chance."

"I mean, we have telepathy between each other," called out Echo Four. "That's how this link works."

Vora smudged the rest of the blood off her face with a gloved hand, revealing it to be undamaged.  "No need. Like I said, I patch up quick."

"That's a neat trick," Silver noted. "She didn't even have to say anything."

"Yeah, and she's also among the most feared beings on the Thread." Silver paused, and then shrugged. "Well, to me at least."

"Oh, I don't know." Silver shrugged. "Just seems like it's only helpful in a few circumstances."

"Do you do somethin' real fancy, then?"

"She can do literally anything with a blink of an eye," Silver added.

"Indeed she can, and we love her for it." nodded Cryo.

For most people, nigh-Omnipotence sounded like the making of quite a scary foe, but Mandrellians were different. Since their civilization was protected from outside agents only and entirely based on how well they understood those agents, a crisp and clean description like "Can do basically anything." was a huge time saver if it actually fit. Such is the nature of Divine Simplicity. They were much less afraid of Narrators and Gods than they were of foes with limitations on their powers, as long as those limitations were intricate and complex enough to defy classification.

"I repeat. Does anyone have a map of the place we're planning to raid, so I may memorize it?"

"Speaking of which," Echo Three said, "Perhaps we can use this connection to scout out our target?"

"If you're willing- though, warning, I have no idea what might happen. Also, doing new things often drains a lot of both mental and physical energy, so it's probably best if I try after a good night's sleep."

Silver looked towards the individual, raising a curious eyebrow. "I'll admit, I've never heard the word "Chaosed" used like that before."
