“Uh… big. Very big. Over its head is a ring of clouds. Large curling horns, the size of  palaces, going straight backwards. It looks like it has a shell, but it’s actually a very strong hide that has accumulated plants and dirt over time. His name is Dax, the rain bringer. He is very personable, and has a love of sipping water from leaf lakes.”

"I know of no creature by that description," Professor X said, "Must be from a different universe. I'm afraid you're stuck in this one, now."

"Konrig," said Konrig, "King of Osia, savior of the universe. I ask of thee, might I see thine serving device with mine own eyes?"

"Those are some fancy names," Trevor commented, "but I must refuse, King Kon. The spatula only works for me, obviously, and so it would be useless for you to hold it. It's just a serving device to you, my friend."

He raised an eyebrow. "Then you shouldn't have a problem with giving it to me."

"You know what? You're right," Trevor said. His voice picked up and began to shake with emotion. "I shouldn't have a problem with it. But see? This...this silly little spatula is my world cause...my late mother...it was her favorite--" He looked away, blinking fiercely. "It was her favorite spatula before it was ever something more and I just...I couldn't bear to let it go after everything that's just happened. Perhaps another time?"

In the privacy of his own mind, Trevor smiled, waiting for the reply as he kept up the perfectly heart wrenching expression on his face.

Lane walked back and plucked the spatula out of his hands, then slapped King Konrig in the face with it. "Your Breath to me, your Breath become mine!" he shouted.

Kelly stepped forward. "Actually, it's 'my life to yours. My breath become yours.' And it works the other way."

Konrig rubbed his nose as Lane began tossing the spatula into the air and catching it again.

Trevor released a breath, some of the knots in his stomach loosening. What an idiot. Can't even use a spatula.

"Don't flip it in the air like that! Please!" Trevor cried, keeping up the whole broken boy with attachment issues with a kitchen utensil thing.

Lane threw his Rubik's cube at Trevor. "Here, you can have that until I'm done."

"Lane," said Ghostfire, stepping over to where this was happening, turning his head to Lane, his expressionless robotic head making an almost imperceptible whir as it did so. "Don't terrorize the poor man."

"Ah, he's lying, can't you see? Wait, you're a robot. Of course you can't."

"I'm not a robot," Ghostfire corrected.

"Fine, then pass one of those tests and I'll believe you."

Konrig pulled out his sword and began examining his reflection. A small square red mark was left on his forehead. He groaned.

Trevor let the Rubik's cube fall to the ground and watched the scene play out. Then he stomped on it. Once. Twice. Then he picked it up and stood beside Konrig, leaning over to whisper. "Have ye a...fire maker kit in thouest pocket? I need an upper hand on this guy. Also, did I say that right? I don't know what's up with you man, but you talk weird. Just trying come down to your level."

"It seems that magic is required to leave at the moment, so I'm not entirely sure what the answer to that is," Martin answers.  "I've been here a while."

“I need to leave soon. Dax can create quite a lot of destruction if I don’t control his motions. And I have a feeling my powers will soon fade if I am away for too long.”

Same, I was waiting to figure out what the plot was more, but the more I wait the more I realize there maybe isn't as coherent of a plot as I'd imagined :P

Craven awoke, sliding out of bed. It had been a rather uneventful few weeks, but he supposed that was his fault. After the attack, he hadn't been feeling as adventurous as he had been before.

It wasn't that he was scared, though. Craven didn't get scared.

As he walked through the camp, he heard some raised voices and a few crashes from a nearby building, and- as if to reaffirm his lack of cowardice- headed straight for the source of the noise. If he wanted to make a difference in the Fellowship he needed to shout with the rest of the grown-ups. He was pretty sure that was how it worked.

"Understandable.  Your best bet is to talk to Fadran, or maybe Ayia."

“Relaaax,” said Lane, “It’s not even that bad.”

”LANE!” Stephen roared, marching over to him.

“Shoot,” Lane cursed, then disappeared in a flash of light. The spatula fell to the ground.

There’s no plot because we’re waiting on Fadran to split the threads with missions....

“What a strange concept. Little beasts. But then, how would your crops get rain? Anyway, do you know where I can find fadrax? I was told to ask after him, unless you know how I can get back home.”

“Magic portal,” said Konrig. He pointed at Fadran, who had gathered them there.
