"You're in my head?" She whispered. He's in my head. GET OUT OF MY HEAD! The Fox thought. She placed both hands on her skull. No, no, no, no. They're in my brain. There's no hiding. I am completely and utterly vulnerable. The Fox released a scream before collapsing in a sobbing heap. There are no more escapes. All of her feelings and worries and depression from the last few years began to roll through her like waves on a beach. She lifted her head, and whispered through the tears, "So you're stuck here just like I am?"

The man awkwardly walked over.

"Um, yes I suppose I am stuck here too. And I can't really help seeing your thoughts."

He (even more awkwardly) knelt next to her and patted her back, not sure what to do.

"It's not that bad. You don't have to worry anymore, please don't cry."

The Fox curled up in a ball, quaking for a few moments. This might just be the hardest thing the Fox had ever had to do. She closed her eyes thinking for a bit. She would not let this Korin see her vulnerability and feelings. Too late. She stood, her backed turned to Korin. She took a deep breathe in, and then out. It was a way of getting your face to turn back to normal after crying. She took a cloth, and wiped the tears away, before turning around with a generous smile.

"Well, it is my pleasure to meet you, Korin." She said warmly pretending like nothing had happened at all. The Fox almost asked about the man's sister, but then realized that would lead them down a not so nice path. But he could hear this, couldn't he. Welp. "Tell me about your life. You're a philosopher?"

"We need to get Winter," Vapor says. "Then we can find Fox."

"Well, I'm a partial philosopher." he says, glad to change the subject. "Apparently, our house didn't need one of those, so I mainly studied war strategy and kept philosophy as a hobby."

"I suppose I could try to explain. Let's see, I was born with a twin, my sister, but it's a bit more complicated than that. We hared an essence, we were always together, one or the other. In life, we could either materialize as my form, or hers. This was an oddity were we come from, I'm sure it is anywhere one could travel, so it's all kept rather hush-hush, you know? Surprisingly, my sister and I had such unity, our shared essence was never a problem. Until our house was invaded."

Korin sighs, a distant look in his eyes.

"I was philosophizing, letting Kor (my sister) drive, when a group of... people? came and slaughtered the household. I forced Kor to run away, and she's been broken ever since. Her mind is silent."

He sighs again, biting the inside of his bottom lip.

The man awkwardly smiled, about to say something further, but the landscape had started morphing again.

All concept of space completely left, and (Sorry for the godmod) Fox found herself seemingly possessing a body, seeing from it's eyes, moving with it's feet, hands, fingers, and... wings.

Korin was there too, also possessing the body.

And three others.

Fox, this is Korin. It seems we are travelling again.

 The body that the five possessed started.. battling? More like slaughtering. Impossibly fast, it weaved between and under the blades of five guards, picking them off one by one.

Maolg was on his way to report his confrontation with the POI's when the world broke in front of him and a nightmare shaped like a man stepped through.

He had red eyes. That was the first thing that Maolg noticed, his red eyes. Only- they weren't red red. They were an empty red, somehow, an absence that nonetheless conveyed a sense of redness. Just looking at it made his brain hurt.

His blade was similarly "colored" and Maolg could feel the power radiating off of it. It was not a pleasant feeling. He stood there, frozen in fear, staring at the newcomer.

At last, he spoke.

Where did they go? he asked. 

Maolg swallowed. "Where did who-"

The man flicked his blade, and a patch of ground disappeared in a flash of inverted red light. Maolg swallowed. What have I gotten myself into?
