of course its Reppublic city, but how should I explain that to your character?

"A place. I have some friends there, though if I told you you'd either look at me like I'm crazy or nod in understanding. I'm not sure which would be worse." Skye had tried, with all her might, to glass bend the glass in Shadesmar. it didn't work.

"I'm sure it'd be useful, but for now, there's something else I need to take care of." He turns to Kindness. "I have to help someone find something they lost."

"what?" Skye asked, genuinely curious, these people where weird. Sure, everyone here seemed to be weird, but thesese people...

"Speaking of which... Kindness, why don't we try Spiritcalling again? I doubt it'll work, but I think it's worth a shot."

"Do you need me to sign my name again?"  She grins.  "I can do that like the rest of you now."

"Spiritcalling?" asked Jeffery. "What manner of thing is that?"

"Please do." Fadran hands her a pen and a paper.

"It's a little confusing." Fadran replies. "Someone signs their identity onto something, and I read into their Spirit to try and help them."

Kindness writes her name on the paper in rather loopy handwriting.  "Here."  She hands it back to Fadran.

Fadran takes the paper, but can easily tell that it won't be that simple. "I'm afraid that it's not going to be this easy--what's lost can't be found just by coming back to Shadesmar. There might be other places that could work, though: if there's a place you lived, or somewhere important to you..."

“Where?” Skye asked, folding her arms “kindness is honorspren, right? It shouldn’t be hard to get to a place important to her, we’re on Roshar.”

“Huh. Never heard of it, but sounds awesome.” “So, any places in Roshar with important memories, preferably in or near the Resi sea?”

"I have a friend that might be able to help, but I don't think I can contact them from the Cosmere. Let me think..."

Energy crackles around Vale's hand for a moment, then stops

"Not for long enough to do anything"

"Siren might do. Umm... a fair amount of Earths. Or the Cytoverse, although that technically counts as an Earth universe..."

"I guess?  I'm as much in the dark as you about all this."

It's all right, Fadran is just in two places at once. I'm going to wrap this up so you can go back into the hut and fix the space-time continuum.

"I don't think being bugged by someone who tried to kill you is unnatural," Fadran replies, "but I also don't think that Mordred is only pretending to be good."

"Of course you wouldn't. I don't know why I even told you. Just leave me alone, all right? I'll be better once I get back to Sel." Herate turns and sits cross legged, facing away from Fadran. She picks the soulstone back up and continues carving.

I've been toying with the idea of having another character who likes Herate but she doesn't like him.
